Does someone else have the problem with a disappearing seekbar and all navigation buttons at the bottom when you start a stream?

This problem started in the 2023 playoffs I think and it's still there. The Play/Pause/foward/backward buttons are there for a second when I turn on the stream and then they disappear and never come back.

Result is that I can't paus, jump forward/backward or do anything besides going back or closing the app.

Completely useless the way it is... And what concerns me is that this problem still appears when I stream highlights from the Knights vs. Panthers series. Has to be a platform problem?? Never had this problem anywhere else.

Edit: interesting thing is, that I don't have this problem in the newly designed NHL.com app.

Off topic but can you watch the pre-season games on nhl.tv?

From Germany.

I was just charged roughly 70 Euros for a "mid season subscription.
I've never had a midseason subscritpion before but I think they changed that to this during last season after the app, once again didn't work.

Anyone else had that happen to him/her as well?

Yes, same thing here. Germany as well. Can you explain what midseason subscription means?
Good god, the lack of information on their site is beyond ridiculous. Not even to mention that after one year there is still no app for Apple TV.

I think during last season they (again)had trouble with their crap technology and around the All-Star Break there was a short time the app didn't work again.

Since then it allways stated I supposedly had a "midseason subscription" because they most likely had to change some things in the background and just changed that for people so they could keep on watching the games.

The problem with this is that the currenty subscription only lasts until October 10th and after that I'm not sure what happens.
Potentially it could be just for half a season starting at some point but I've read from others that they had the same price reduced but it stated they had a full season subscription.

They always do a mid season package in January each year, for like 2/3 of full season price, but it would be crazy to think that is the January package.

It’s definitely possible some dummies , didn’t change that part of the software, left over from last season. Changing mid to full. Only thing that makes sense.

if it is right, it is a pretty good discount. 65 euro for full nhl season is good deal. Thank you nhltv :D i hope it stay this way

From Austria:

Am I the only one who had both the 'Mid Season' and 'Full Season' subscription debited (around 164€ in total) without ever having ordered "a Mid-Season subscription" or being informed about this via email in any way?

This ongoing NHL.TV fiasco is driving me nuts.

Same here. 65 euros last week for the midseason subscription and 97 euros today for what I assume is the whole season.

In the 8, 9 years of my subscription, it has never been split in such a way or any way, This also wasn't mentioned in the renewal e-mail (only the €99 for the annual subscription).

If there's a price increase to over €160, I wouldn't pay that anyway for a service where you can't watch live games during European prime time, because the rights were sold to Sky, etc.

Okeej, now over 160euro it is a really expensive. Now i expecting brilliant quality no mistakes no bad streams. For that expensive service. If the streams will broken or anything bad i will NEVER pay for nhltv again. Yes i would pay even 200 euro but it have to be flawless aplication.

Same here.

I have paid 120 euros in The Netherlands. The advertised 99 dollars plus local tax.

Subscribed through the site. In app purchase was a lot more expensive.

NHL.TV user from the UK here doing my yearly attempt at figuring out how this works.

I didn't realise at the time but I got an email on the 1st of September saying "we are pleased to notify you of the automatic renewal of your annual subscription to the NHL.TV Yearly Package, priced at 99.99 USD. We will take care of everything and there is no action required to continue your current subscription."

It also says unless you cancel the subscription, the payment will be charged automatically "on or about" October 3 2023.

As you'll be aware it's the 9th of October now and no payment has happened. The last transaction on my NHL TV page is from the 13th of October last year.

BUT!

Under the "Purchases" tab I get this:

I'm at a loss.

Only I can think of is early bird pricing over
Is/Was the 99.99 one a special offer? It went down to 99.99 last year because they changed the format and web player, I think it was probably ~$120 in the years before that when I subbed. I don't think I remember any kind of offer/price reduction for a full season outside of last year.

No idea , just throwing ideas out there.

I thought the price reduction was due to the fact that they sold rights packages to Pay-TV channels like SKY (Austria, German), which made it pretty much impossible to watch any live game at 1PM EDT, because of all the blackouts (+24hr blackout of the on-demand stream).

But yeah, I wrote their customer service several times because of questions like this one. Not a single answer. And now they have charged 164 euros instead of the 99 euros they announced via mail (I mean, they wrote 99 USD, which would be 94 EUR and charged 99 Euro anyway). Will be interesting when/if their customer service will reply/help this time and whether they are staying true to their 5 day refund policy or not. What a joke.
