any word if these juvenile delinquets are going to have a proper apple tv app this year so i dont need to screen share from my phone or desktop to actually watch hockey on my television?

received a 50$ off promo code for SN NOW PREMIUM .

so 200 instead of 250 .
Got that too. I'm gonna pass this year. The good news is there's a feedback form when you cancel, so I gave them some constructive comments not limited to:
- no Away feeds
- too many gambling ads and content
- digital board ads
- low quality compared to other major streaming services
- they should have a cheaper hockey only package, I don't need wrestling or NBA etc. They present it as a value add, but it's not valuable to everyone.
- no ability to watch the VOD without seeing the score (or spoiler headlines) first
- no "arena sounds" audio option without the commentary

I miss NHL Live in Canada. Sportsnet NOW is a huge downgrade in every way. Shame on the NHL for partnering with such a company.

I was late cutting the cord so I only enjoyed nhl live for 1 full season , previously I had center ice through Bell tv for over 20 seasons . I agree that the amount of advertising (digital or other) went over the top last season , hopefully its scaled back to eliminate ad movement during the play. I dont mind 1 feed because thats what I was used to with bell center ice . Price ? Bell center ice was around 212 + tax during the last few years so 200 for SN is cheaper and you get Jays and other items that most would get some use out of .

in saying that , I'd sign up for an nhl live product verses SN but I think that ship has sailed

How did they send you the promo and when does it expire? Is it a reuseable code that can be shared? I usually get these yearly and never use them. This year when I actually want to subscribe I haven't received anything.

I used NHL.TV from Europe last year. It was terrible. Absolute garbage for most of the year. They put out an unfinished product that they had no intention of improving through the season and charged full pop for it. SN+ premium is more expensive but will also be a better product. From memory, they said home/away broadcasts would be available this year, so here's hoping for that.

It's unfortunate that there's really no choice. You either pay for these products or don't watch.

Yea I stopped using paid streaming services because they are pretty horrible. The Sportsnet NOW one is so bad that I would pay for it, but have to find a dark stream mid-game somewhere so that it was actually watchable. This was with gigabit internet too. I was incredulous that illegal streams were actually more reliable and somehow higher quality than the stuff I was paying for. With that being said, NHL Centre Ice on satellite TV was beautiful. That was a paid service but the quality was far superior. The current Rogers driven NHL stuff in Canada is possibly the worst it's ever been... it's just really bad. Sports, advertising, streams in general has become an occasional thing for me nowadays if there is a "free" option to watch like being at a buddy's place or it's on in the bar at the rink. Occasionally there are free streams too on the weekend games. I'll just watch in the playoffs and skip the horrible paid streaming product. Already cut the cord long ago so TV is out of the question... on the plus side, I've got way more free time and can just watch the highlights online if I'm interested. Plus I don't get the generous serving of woke advertising and quite frankly broadcast material. The CBC intermissions these days play more like an episode of "Bart's People" from The Simpsons.

NHL headquarters leadership really needs to get tech smart on streaming their product. For now, it looks like a small group of unwashed arrogant high school nerds are running the show.

The code was emailed to me on Aug 22, maybe check your junk folder. But I think they sent it because I was subscribed last year, sort of like a loyalty offer. The fine print says one time use, non-transferable. It expires Oct 30th, so hopefully folks in here can chime in once the season starts and let us know how it's working for them.

Definitely more interested if there are home/away feeds this year, will wait and see. Would love to see that confirmed.

I also just realized the Sportsnet app on Apple TV has a multi-view option, never knew that...I often watch MLS in the Apple TV app that way.

maybe you can contact SN and explain you were with nhl live / europe last year and they can consider offering you the 50$ discount . As the other fella said , the code was 1 time use

What email did the code come from, so I can search my junk/deleted folders.

No, I was reacting to dssource mentioning it in post 1507, but nothing concrete yet.

When I was looking at SN+ last season, there was mention somewhere of 2 feeds in the future. To be honest, I don't remember where I saw it. It could have been on a chat with a Rogers rep since the 1 feed was a deal breaker for me (along with other issues). If I find it, I'll post it.

Thanks for the email.

The Netherlands had ESPN Player for the last two seasons, but that service has been discontinued in our country. The Netherlands have now been added to the list of NHL.tv countries, but it is as yet not possible to subscribe. The NHL cannot tell me when that wil be opened up or wether that will be resolved in time for the start of the (pre)season.

Lovely.

Could anyone give me advice on streaming games through NHL.COM. I need the games when i'm out of country on I PAD ,Thank You

I saw the subscription available from another euro country. For some reason only a monthly subscription option was available to purchase at $14.99 per month. I don't like that. For the season it comes out to more than last year. And I'm not sure they've improved upon the garbage they released last year.

It occurs to me if they did add multiple feeds for this year, you think they would put that in the marketing, but I haven’t seen any mention. Here’s hoping.

Has there been any marketing? I haven't seen even one ad for it this year.

When I turn on my German vpn I get an offer for 99 dollars a year or 15 euros a month.
