I blame the lockdowns keeping kids from getting run of the mill seasonal illnesses and not having immunities in their system.
That shit is legitimate. My son was sick basically every other week for 3 years at daycare, but his immune system is a savage beast now. He hasn't been truly sick in 3 years. When he does get some sort of bug, it's just a sniffly nose and minor cough at worst.

I'm knocking on wood right now so I don't blow the streak.

"April is the cruellest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring dull roots with spring rain."

We start the day with @Hollywood Cannon on the clock, @DancingPanther on deck, me on the lido deck, and @BernieParent on the lido afterdeck.

I was extremely pleased to see that the Canes knocked out the fish dicks, but I didn't watch a minute of it. I forgot that it was even on, to tell you the truth. I had Commercialapalooza - AKA the second day of the NFL Draft - on the TV. Simultaneously with this, I watched "The Outlaws 2: Round-Up" on the lappy with one earbud in my ear. It's not super easy reading subtitles and listening to the draft at the same time, and it's even less super easy when you are a scatterbrain, but I managed. I also managed an ep of "I Am SOLO" this way. Both of them ... or rather, "all three of them" were great fun, but I'll be honest - it's at this point every year where I have had enough of the draft. It has been fun, and it's worth looking forward to every year, but I'm ready to move on. So let's do that.

Enjoy your weekend and be safe out there, turds.

Speaking of neighbours, I think I'll use a pick I suggested to one of you and not delay things any further.

"The owners of the Tampa Bay FireSticks are very pleased to select as our Team Classic Actress Lucille Ball.

lucille%2520ball.jpg

"Before becoming a household name as Lucy Ricardo in the iconic TV show I Love Lucy, Lucille Ball had minor roles in many films, including Roman Scandals, Top Hat, Stage Door, and The Big Street. After she married Desi Arnaz, whom she had met while filming Too Many Girls, Ms. Ball switched to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where she got better roles in films such as Du Barry Was a Lady, Best Foot Forward, and Without Love. Her role as a scatterbrained wife of a Midwestern banker in the radio comedy "My Favorite Husband" was the template for I Love Lucy, which aired from 1951 to 1957.

"Ms. Ball was a queen comedienne, paving the way for future generations of lead women in humorous roles. Who of us have not felt like this at work?

"Beyond her pioneer work in comedy, Ms. Ball was also the first woman to head a major television production company. She and husband Desi Arnaz founded Desilu, and Ms. Ball owned 52% of the company stock. In addition to I Love Lucy, Desilu was also responsible for The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Andy Griffith Show, I Spy, Mission: Impossible. and Star Trek. While Ms. Ball contributed significantly to the regular airing of Star Trek, how much she pushed for it to continue is the subject of much online controversy.

"We are pleased to pass the turn to @BigToe."

We are always open to category ideas (which don't suck). You don't have to wait for us to announce it or anything.

We start the day with @BigToe on the clock, @JojoTheWhale with a pair (phrasing) on deck, back through Toe to @BernieParent on the lido deck, and me on the lido afterdeck.

These f***ers on USA. They are going on and on having a j*zz over Manchester City, never mentioning the 101 violations hanging over them like the Sword of Damocles. This morning's latest dipshit literally just said "You can't put a price on that kind of squad depth." The f***ers are facing massive sanctions because they spent obscene amounts of money to build a team with twice the quality in depth of anyone else, and then fudged the books to make it look like they spent within their means. Report after report has shown that it's fraudulent, and quite obviously so, but the f***ing media just continue to fawn over them. I get why - you can't bite the hand that feeds you, and more importantly, you don't want to dampen the excitement of the ignorant masses. But it's so hard to listen to this shit, f***. They faced charges from UEFA a couple of years ago, and UEFA basically admitted that they just ran out of time to prove their guilt. It's the kind of thing that happens when you have silly billions to throw at lawyers to muddy what should be clear waters.

F***ing f***. C***s.

@pit I had a new(to me) flavor which I enjoyed and was interested in where this ranks on the PIT-O-METER Scale

Is this the same as Sweet Chili Heat or a different one?

Sweet Chili Heat was an odd one for me. It started pretty high in the rankings, a solid 7 maybe 8. Then over time, maybe from oversampling of them, they started to become a bit gross and slid down to like a 5.

If these are something different, never had them!
