I mean, Dylan was right about getting stoned. Starting with him.
Dylan being picked highlights why this spite group is such an interesting concept. I am a big fan of his songwriting but his singing voice is like bamboo shoots under the fingernails. Same with Cobain; great songwriter, good singer, but a thoroughly mediocre guitarist. If I could compartmentalize, I'd select the last few years of the lead singer for one of my preferred groups whose singing voice became unlistenable.
Have you had a chance to listen to Dylan's 2009 Christmas album, Christmas in the Heart? I'm pretty sure he smoked a carton of Marlboro reds every morning before he stepped foot in the studio to record that bad boy.
