Point totals and ice time aren't a linear line. At a certain point, players gas out from too much ice time and their totals would probably go down, instead of up because they'd be floating to rest. That's what makes McDavid more unique, he's probably one of the best conditioned players that can handle that extra time without it negatively affecting him.
I’m not arguing point totals aren’t linear. TOI has a greater influence than fatigue. You can’t except the rate to go down such a significant amount that the overall production decreases. There’s not a chance his overall production would decrease if you added 3 minutes to his ice time. And powerplay time on ice is not really affected by fatigue at all, which is 29 extra seconds per game.

Turn out the lights the party’s over!
The Hart is pretty much a lock for McDavid now with 120 points and a reasonable lead over the pack.

Matthews just clinched the Hart!!!
I doubt it. If he didn't miss that many games I would say he wins unanimously (considering he would be right behind McDavid in points). But the missed games hurts the case. Unless he drops like 6-7 points next games and that's assuming he even plays the last game.

121 points will be hard to ignore, however if it weren't for the misnames the point gap would be closer to 5 then 15.

Really between Matthews, Mcdavid, and Johnny hockey. Huberdeau, Kaprizov, Shesty, Josi and Stammer deserve mentions. So much talent.
