Obviously, the ref has to be somewhere. It was just a bad break and was typical in this series. Avs are a fine team (I picked them to win the SC) but the puck was certainly bouncing in their favour which often happens with great teams. I can understand the frustration that Smith and the entire Oilers team felt in this series.
Smith has a history of blaming fans, refs and teammates for goals. Fact is he misplayed the puck, and often does.

I understand the rest of the Oilers frustrations with the series. And I feel for McDavid. Colorado is one hell of a team.

Hey, I'd probably be mad if I was Smith too. But the tantrum was still epic lmao. And he let in some awful goals. He can only be mad at himself.

Smith tried to yell at his defenseman when the Flames scored on a shot from their own zone. This isn't a one off for the guy.

If Tampa finishes off NYR, then I'm basically a shoe-in to win my playoff pool, as I was the only one who picked Colorado vs Tampa in the Final (with Colorado winning in 6). If NYR wins, then it's up in the air, cause a few others picked Colorado to win.

Come on Tampa. Expose these paper tigers for what they are.

Your pool is shit if you're the only one who picked Tampa vs. Colorado in the final. lol

Colorado was an easy pick, almost everybody picked them aside for a few that picked the Flames. The East was much tighter.

Just happens that other than me, the people who liked Tampa liked the Flames.

Tampa's potential road was Toronto, Florida, and Carolina, and at the time people thought Florida was good.

Toronto was a game away from sewering my pool.

Nobody ever regrets picking against Toronto.

I'm still not over how Florida just completely wilted in that series.

I was never a big believer in Florida. I thought they were a good team, that won a lot of games in 3v3 OT and the SO, with questionable defense. Standings points are generally unreliable when it comes to judging team quality.

Up against a team like Tampa, that's built similarly but with bigger game-breakers at all the key positions, I didn't see them winning. I thought the series might be closer, but that's hockey, always some surprises.
