Its not merely losing out on every free agent, or even being leveraged by every free agent to get a better deal elsewhere. Its the trades lost, the trade opportunities missed out on.
Sure, but that's not what the tweet said. Has anyone sung his praises at all in the last 15 years? I just dont think this non-signing of Kadri is a Lou thing, but more of a who the hell wants to play for that team thing.

I never said "state of Carolina"

Why are you acting like that's a quote?

I said "anywhere in Carolina" which refers to both North and South Carolina.

The way you referenced Calgary being better than "anywhere in Carolina" was said as if Carolina is a state, one place, that encompasses everything Carolina. For one, the two states couldn't be more different. You can't refer to Carolina as one place, because it's just not accurate. Two states, similar name, but they're not even close to being alike.

For two, you have obviously never been there, or been to Tennessee/Nashville, either. I'd probably wager you haven't been anywhere in the US, outside of maybe some border areas of a state(and I'd give that maybe a 5-10% chance). Considering you never denied it in my previous post, I'd say I hit the nail on the head, at the very least with Nashville/Carolina.

You have pre-conceived ideas of what these places are like, based solely on your experiences on a message board with their fans, and based upon stereotypical stuff you've "heard" about these places. It's pretty obvious.

When presented with facts contradicting your view, you completely ignored them.

You called people in Nashville a bunch of country-loving, Republican, religious, cult-members. While failing to realize that 2 out of every 3 people in Nashville are actually liberal or independent. They share the same views as you do on shit. Lol.

Tell us you know nothing about the US without telling us you know nothing about the US.

I certainly wouldn't live there

You live in Canada, and I can guarantee you have never been there.

I'd argue it's probably the same for the Carolinas, also.

Have you EVER been to the States?

It always makes me laugh when Canadians pretend to know shit about this country based upon a small sample of the stereotypes.

It would probably blow your mind to know that 95% of Illinois is a red state. That outside of the Chicago Metro area, you're looking at almost an entirely red state. That goes for most of this country. Metro areas around the major cities = blue, rural areas = red. Probably blow your mind to know that 2 out of 3 voters in Nashville and its metro area are blue/independent.

Also... you do realize there are actually two Carolinas, right? That there's no "state of Carolina"?
Trust me as a Canadian not all of us have such distaste for the Southern States

I am from outside the Urban Big City Centres in Canada. Lived in a major city here for school. Fun times but I find the smaller and medium sized towns have their own charm. Carolina or Tennessee would be a great place to live imo. I know many Canadians who feel the same way with long winters and high taxes here. Non Urban Canadians and Urban Canadians are two different breeds of people much like our Southern Counterparts

Kadri deal could be bad in 4-5 years but for now the Flames with moves in offseason have a clear window to compete of 3-5 years

Gotta respect Flames GM for turning what looked like awful offseason into positive

Flames today are better team than they were at end of playoffs IMO

Yeah I'm liking their off-season as well, have to say.

It's mostly because the player I hate most in the league is soft little Gaudreau, so him being gone means I don't gag when they come up.

But now they have a nice balanced forward group, very very good defense and superb goaltending. Plus some close to being ready high end prospects too.

Not that bad of a place to be.

I wonder if the Huberdeau and Kadri contracts will make people stop bitching about how no one wants to play in Canada and how the income tax differences are somehow relevant.

Hoping the Flames get rewarded for these moves, after it looking like a disastrous offseason I think they came out pretty well, atleast for the next couple of seasons.

I does show his lack of basic knowledge. Musto gets brought down a level for claiming (or worse actually believing) anywhere in Carolina would refer to both states.
The phrase would be “in the Carolina’s”.

Musto finding new ways to annoy the shit out of people without his boy Strome I see.

I only wish Raleigh was half as shitty as a guy who has never stepped foot in this state thinks it is.

Too many damn people moving here, do not like.

It’s also home to some of the most well educated people in the country.
