What Hughes literally said was that “all things being equal” they're picking a forward.Hugues literally said we were picking a forward , dont even know why we debate on another d-man.
This team has pretty much nothing in the pipeline offensively since they went the popcorn route last draft. What's the point to draft another dman when people barely want to get rid of Savard or Matheson
If we can't make a def from Guhle Hutson Jackeye Mailloux , Reinbacher , Struble and Barron . Then perhaps the problem is somewhere else and not because we don't have enough young dmen in the org.
We already know Bobrov has a hard-on for unicorns, I can't imagine how excited he got interviewing a pegasus
But would be the right response to the question? Be honest and actually rank yourself in the teens or lie and say number 1?Apparently Shane Pinto getting suspended 41 games did nothing to discourage this hypothetical:
We already know Bobrov has a hard-on for unicorns, I can't imagine how excited he got interviewing a pegasus
Iginla seems like he's a good interview though, he carries himself very well for someone his age and seems like he'd fit into the culture they're building. If Lindstrom isn't an option then I feel like Iginla is probably going to be their guy.
the point is, if two of the forwards (demidov or Lindstrom) are taken by 5th, you do NOT not draft one of the stud Dmen (because, you need a forward) - thats like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.Hugues literally said we were picking a forward , dont even know why we debate on another d-man.

Timmins isn’t the one who makes the decision thoughDickinson combine numbers may make Timmins go rogue and pick him at 4 regardless
Timmins isn’t the one who makes the decision though
In fact, I wonder if they hired him so when he likes a player, they know they need to go in completely different directionThat's why I said he would go rogue. It's a joke
Should at least get 12-15 top selections ; 2023 and 2024 pics only, to finally end all the " he doesn't fit with Habs window" .For their 2nd meal, he's wondering if they should go back to Mendy's. If you go to Mendy's, you're guaranteed a good meal.
You can also flip Slafkovsky and Suzuki for top 10 picks easy. We can draft them all.
Imagine now if he takes 4-5 inches this summer, as the other one
the other one has a 6' ex-volleyball olympian mom. i'll let you google iginla's mom.Imagine now if he takes 4-5 inches this summer, as the other one
C'est une p'tit gars avec un gros gabarit - B Brunet
So not only is Dickinson 6'3" but a whopping 200lb of lean muscle too? Ffs, sign him now.
That’s insane !
I like Boivert, but its a toss up if he can become a top 6 C.. id rather throw expendable assets to m8ve up 10 spots and draft that forward that might have slipped or the one they want - the value to move up 10 spots far outpaces the need to wait, and its entirely possible that Boivert might be that gem in 3-5 years...Beaudoin or Boisvert would be a good pick with Winnipeg’s #26.

Yep when it comes to Demidov you better be sure.Athletic podcast think:
- think Levshunov to Hawks.
- Demidov some teams unsure about MHL play and SKA being sketchy
- Lindstrom likely top 5, could be a CBJ pick
- Iggy more a 8-15 type player
- Catton deserves to be a top 10 pick but could slip because of size.
- Boisvert is valued for his intangibles.
Also for the record I think Wheeler is a weenie.
The more I learn about him, the more I think he has it all. I just find him more complete than Lindstrom.A true 6ft'er is pretty good.
A lot of guys who are billed at 6ft in NHL are not actually 6ft.
I'll take it.
