Fantilli blew away Beniers NCAA numbers in his draft year and Beniers went 2nd in 2021, Fantili is 2nd to only Eichel in terms of points per game in NCAA in draft year.
He blew away Tage Thompson, Kent Johnson and Toews numbers as well.
The irony is our lack of lottery luck has saved us as much as hurt us in recent years. As much as I would have loved Hughes or power, we could also be sitting with byfield, kakko, Laf (sorry leo, haha), ect. This truly is a fantastic year to be picking top three.

Sorry, I don’t agree with that thinking at all. And neither does anybody else here. Your paranoia is causing you to refuse to look at the situation logically. He just won the Hobey Baker award as a freshman. He’s not wasting 3 more years in college because he hates the Ducks or SoCal that badly. Can’t make it any clearer than that.
You don't know that. I have no idea what he will do either.

The odds are he wont chose to go to college for 3 more years and then pick his team but he has a chance to do that if he wants and I would rather the Ducks not risk it with a 2nd overall pick.

Nothing will convince me it worth taking a chance on drafting him if he doesn't make it known that he will sign a contract to play in the NHL right out of the draft.

If today wasn’t crap enough this stupid popup that I can’t click out of keeps appearing

There's a chance when you step outside tomorrow you will be hit by an asteroid. Better stay inside forever. Not worth risking your life.

I also wanted Turcotte lol, i saw him as a speedy 2way high octane center who could turn into Brayden Point and the floor of Kesler.

Fine. Then continue on being paranoid. But don’t expect everybody else to be.

why would anyone be worried about AF not signing with the ducks? this team has quite a bit of young talent
If Fantilli was drafted by Chicago i could see him returning to College because Chicago has literally no one on that roster except Seth Jones, the rest of their roster is just scrubs.
Subtract Kane, Toews and Domi and that team is just empty and will be tanking for Misa in 2025.

Wow what a original comparison :sarcasm:

You can die no matter what you do or don't do so its always better to go out to live life then to be so scared (for something that will eventually come anyways which is death) and stay in all time.

People always seem to use stupid comparisons to things on the internet.

You should of said something else like "The riskier the road, the greater the reward."

Regardless Ducks are not the kind of team that should risk it with him if he hasn't committed to playing in the NHL right away.

I'm not expecting anything from anyone. I'm just saying Ducks shouldn't risk it when the road is open for him to take that path. It would be horrible if he takes that path if the Ducks draft him and don't want to see my team burned again.

Would be more horrible to close a massive avenue to acquiring NHL talent because of a small risk. I'd hate to see my team do such a dumb move.

Might as well not draft any European players either, I mean Andersen refused to sign with Carolina after all once upon a time.

You realize Leo Carlsson, or Bedard, or literally anyone could also refuse to sign with the Ducks, right?
