I approve of the avatar.
Fanta should become a Ducks sponsor lol. It didn't take long for Jersey Mikes to become the Angels sponsor after Mike Trout from New Jersey became a superstar.
Fantilli being Italian-Canadian fits Fanta nickname also because:
"The modern-day orange Fanta was first produced in Naples, Italy in 1955 by a local bottling plant using locally sourced oranges."

a quote from the Hawks gm really got me, "
Hopefully, that's what we've got here and it can change a franchise, it can change a city and it can change an era in a team's history."

oh boohoo, your franchise's been bad for a few years after basically having a dynasty less than 10 years ago! ugh so annoying

At the end of the day, it all comes down to winning a cup.

Of course I’m disappointed, but if Fantilli fits better with our current core, then that is more important. Just win baby.

And as good as McDavid is, the Oilers wouldn’t be where they are without Draisaitl. He has carried them in the playoffs.

Interesting. I had it in Romania before it made it out the states. Tried it once and was obsessed the rest of the trip. Somehow it tasted better in Europe. But pretty easy nickname if Fanta is indeed our guy.

But nothing can clean the stench off a truly disgusting franchise.

Hawks fans, understandably, want people to let it go and forget so badly but I hope people never let it be forgotten. It's gotta be one of the most notably scummy things an NHL franchise has done/not done in the modern era. Maybe in this history of the league.

Like anyone should care that a couple guys were fired and Beach took a settlement.

This is an interesting quote. Sure does make it sound like they already have their mind made up, and it’s not an off the board pick if they were worried about the guy they wanted being gone.
That’s a very interesting quote. Almost sounds like he likes Dantili or Carlson over Bedard.

I take it more like there are multiple candidates at 2 and we get to be the ones who decide rather than backed into a decision at 3/4.

From the Kings board. They seem to believe Fantilli is the #2 as well.
Best Michigan player, probably ever. Best out of any of the recent guys (Power, Beniers, the Hughes brothers, Connor) Just a dominant player this season as a freshman, and didn't just feast on bad teams (like some accused him of when he scored a lot early in the season). Michigan ended up with the toughest schedule in the country, and he destroyed everyone from Lindenwood to Minnesota. He has an NHL star caliber shot, he skates very well and he plays mean and on the edge. Naurato says he reminds him of Matthew Tkachuk, I have said his ceiling is Auston Matthews as a goalscorer, and I think both are accurate. He probably won't be as mean as Tkachuk and will probably end up a notch below Matthews, but a guy with 50 goal potential who plays mean is going to be insanely valuable. I think his only downside is he doesn't have elite game sense in the offensive zone, it's not where guys like Cooley and Caufield were in the B10. But he does things those guys aren't capable of.

Matty Beniers is a blue chip prospect, at age 20 just lead all rookies in scoring, is likely to win rookie of the year and is contributing significantly on a team that might be making a deep playoff run. Adam Fantilli is at another level more talented than Beniers, and is also bigger, faster and meaner. Just a much better prospect.

It's great the Ducks didn't get Bedard, but they got a guy who goes #1 in a lot of normal draft years. Fantilli is going to be even more hated on this forum than Zegras is.

I have no idea how much/if any Anaheim wants to draft Carlsson, and I know nothing about him. Was more or less just giving a scouting report on Fantilli and jumped the gun a bit. But I just have a hard time believing a player this good would not be your pick at #2. We have had some high end guys roll through the B10, and Michigan in particular, and he is very clearly the best of the bunch.

As a Kings fan I hope you guy's don't take him, but I am not counting on it. :(

Sounds like Fantilli. Picking 3rd they would almost certainly have had the opportunity to draft Carlsson if he were their guy.

Chicago is going to be under immense pressure to put a competitive team together quickly now that Bedard is theirs. They've already sold hundreds of season seat packages and these fans aren't buying tickets to watch them lose with Bedard. Could be a very rocky road ahead and they accelerate their rebuild by years.

No to trading Henrique unless there's a 1st rounder on the table IMO.

I think he's an important piece to help the young forwards.
At this point, I’d be very surprised if we don’t take Fantilli. He seems like the exact player Verbeek is looking for.

I feel like I read into carlsson a lot more because I just assumed we were going to pick 3rd…. Now that we’re 2nd I think it’s fantilli pretty comfortably
