We're almost at the contract limit and have infinity picks and plenty of "Safe" NHLers in the org. When is a good time to take risks, in your estimation?

Whenever you have solid NHLers for the foreseeable future seems like a good point where you can waste picks.

Anyone complaining that we didn't trade up into the 1st round wasn't paying any attention at all. Everyone inside was saying beforehand that it's extremely unlikely we'd be trading into first due to cost. Moving around after 1st was a different story -- and indeed transpired.

Literally one of the worst takes i've read before. Especially when it pertains to drafts -- since there are no guarantees and it's so unknown. But you do you.

I don't think I asked if it was.

So analysts and people alike declare winners and losers are just all bad takes to you? Must be nice to be you.

We have, if not the best, the deepest prospect pool in the league and a ton of picks this draft and next. That's a solid stream of NHLers for years to come, especially given our organization's development history with guys outside the first for most of the decade. If there is ever a time to swing for the fences, this is it. We don't need more base hits, we arguably have too many as it is; we need home runs.

Yeah we will see about that. None of them have even really played in NHL ice as of yet so having a deep prospect pool indicates the likelyhood you'd have a good nhl team. But as kings fan we should know all too well of players not panning out. So until we see some good NHL players come up maybe we shouldn't swing so far out. But yeah I'm hopeful our teams good in the next couple years. But that's to be seen.

No -- i think the 'winners & losers' thing is pretty silly/dumb and simply a media driven thing. I wait until a few years afterwards before you can claim a draft was great, good, average, bad or horrible. Otherwise, i see no need to get hysterical either way on draft day.

Arizona are definitely losers, though.
