Yeah getting Chromiak is a great move and for only pick number 128 is huge. Hopefully it also really lights a fire under his ass. Great skill guy but certainly can become a much better player if he improved beyond just scoring high skill goals.

There is usually a reason guys fall in the draft. I just watched his OHL highlights and he looks good. So what are the reasons he dropped so far? Honest question to those on the board who know. Thanks!

idk why he fell....and it might have been very valid. still he's a guy with offensive talent, good size and just turned 18 a month ago. 5th round pick -- heck develop him and see what you have in 3-5 years. little risk and high potential reward.

I wonder if some think he was just the beneficiary of playing with Shane Wright?

Maybe, but the Kings have the best center prospect depth in the league. Is Shane Wright better than Byfield? Kopitar? Turcotte? Vilardi?

Chromiak has pretty f***ing amazing hair an almost pompadour

He scored 39 goals playing most of the season as a 15 year old, he's definitely better than Vilardi or Byfield were at that age, simply because neither one of them were given exceptional status.
