He scored 39 goals playing most of the season as a 15 year old, he's definitely better than Vilardi or Byfield were at that age, simply because neither one of them were given exceptional status.

Shane Wright might be the top pick in the 2022 draft

Wright's going to be great, I didn't mean to insinuate that he wouldn't. Looking like a first overall pick, no doubt. I'm just saying that we also have four incredible centers for Chromiak to potenitally play with. He's not going to be lining up next to Amadio.

No -- i think the 'winners & losers' thing is pretty silly/dumb and simply a media driven thing. I wait until a few years afterwards before you can claim a draft was great, good, average, bad or horrible. Otherwise, i see no need to get hysterical either way on draft day.

Sounds like you think your opinion is more valuable. It's true to an extent but how many times do players hit their ceilings and or do much better than expected. Pretty uncommon.

Not too silly.

I honestly have no idea what you are saying here.
But i'm sure you mean well....i certainly do too. Cheers .

We're almost at the contract limit and have infinity picks and plenty of "Safe" NHLers in the org. When is a good time to take risks, in your estimation?
New special rule for the Kings during rebuilds: The limit on the number of players under contract is infinity and beyond.

The negativity from some peeps is hilarious to me.

None of us are seers, sorcerers , have a time traveling DeLorean or are scouts. Each draft has sure things that bust and surprises. Blue chips get injured, sometimes have off ice accidents or don't live up to their potential .

I am willing to bet that the in 2007 that people were expecting more from Oscar Moller than Wayne Simmonds or Alec Martinez. I am also willing to bet that no one had Dwight King as the franchise's eventual all time conference finals goal leader.
I am sure everyone was right about Hickey though
I know, but it helps when you have one of these. BTW, Byfield was the correct pick.
