Lord gave me his pick and said he expected a write-up, so here it is:

A purely evil headhunter, this massively talented cold-blooded bastard embodied the Raiders ethos that helped define the 1970s, the NFL's greatest decade by miles and miles and miles. The worst guy on a team of bad guys.

With our pick here we are going to select a duel threat that you all possibly knew I was going to pick...Marshall Faulk.

Marshall won the league’s MVP award in 2000 and entered the Hall of Fame in 2011. He is still to this day the only NFL player with 12,000 rushing yards and 6,000 receiving yards. He will give us the flexibility that we need to do whatever we need once we a coach installed.

With our second pick we will select a behemoth of a man who will love my QB just as much as we here at HFboards do... Terrell Owens.

T.O. was always one for theatrics but he was also an unstoppable force on the football field.

And for the ladies...

TO was an absolute monster. The fact that he isn't in the HoF because of some media beef is a joke

Gotta go with the homer pick.

Darrell Green (CB)

One of the best to ever play the position, he had at least one INT in 19 of his 20 seasons. He was blazingly fast. He doesn't have more interceptions because it was stupid to throw to his side of the field, and QBs had to try to place the ball away from him to a degree that it made them hard to catch for anyone. I cannot bear to see some Eagles or Cowboys fan draft him. Unacceptable. So I will jump him up my order to take him immediately and with maximum violence.

No time for more writeup. Here is video to do it for me.

@Captain Dave Poulin I think you're up?

THAT is who I was referring to when I said I knew who you should take with your first pick. On the very topmost tier of all-timers.

I'm going to just go ahead and take him now - I snuck in two picks before doing it, which is all I can bear to wait, even though no one else would take him.

My hero and GOAT human being. The Dodger. Captain Comeback. Served his country. Has literally never done a single thing wrong in his entire life. Flawlessly perfect.

The NFL Today on CBS used to play a segment of his highlights with "Nobody Does It Better" playing - holy shit, did that ever destroy me. As far as I know they only did that once, but it felt like several times. There's no telling how many times I played it in my head when I was playing football in the neighborhood and pretending to catch passes from him.

The least surprising pick in this whole thing.

Missing out on Jerry Rice was the luck of the way the draft order fell and, after two picks, I can't pass on the other half of that dynamic duo that made football so fun for me to watch as a kid in the late 80s and early 90s.

His leaving the 49ers for Kansas City was devastating, only compounded by then watching the Cowboys have a run of success, even though the 49ers managed to sneak in one more championship.

Until I graduated high school, I would have adamantly told you I was a 49ers fan through and through, but, looking back, I was a fan of Rice, Lott, and several redacted names more than the team itself. Today, I couldn't care less about the 49ers, but I also have no passion for any specific team.

The 1B to my 49ers fandom, QB Joe Montana, will always be the GOAT QB to me.
