Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Yeah leave the self entitled millionaire alone. He’s got such a hard life. Next thing you know you’ll be expecting him to give even a half hearted effort in all All Star skills competition.
He needs to have more respect for the fans and the game itself. If attitudes like this were the norm the NHL would lose a sizable portion of their fan base (including me) along with the advertising and TV revenue.
He’s allowed to have an off day but this is different. It’s just his m.o.

That's the league now though. There was a real shift a couple of years ago in how refs called games. Bad for "I'd rather win 2-1" GMs.

The Identity Line aging out of relevance is the rest of the story.
Martin's down to about 7 minutes a game. Clutterbuck gets more because he's on the PK.

Neither of them are NHL assets at this point in their careers I think that’s clear to even the most optimistic of Isles fans.
Cizikas? His contract was always too long but the proponents of the deal touted the AAV. He still has grit and the all too infrequent flash of skill. I can only hope that his progressive drop in productivity is primarily related to his linemates. Time will tell. We’ve got 3 1/2 more years to go. To be fair, his deal is way down the list of our worries.

Fantastic 3rd period and OT last night between the Bruins and Oilers.
The Coyotes lose again. I watch a lot of their games as my daughter goes to college down there. I like Maccelli's game a lot and wouldn't mind seeing him in an Isles sweater. Fast skater, solid iq, defensively responsible, and has some scoring touch. Hopefully Holmstrom could continue to round out his game. Maybe Roy puts him back on that top line in the future.

8 teams in the east are better right now. 8!
Then we're tied with the Craps and Devils at 60 points, with the Caps having a game in hand.
I mean, the Isles would practically have to find a way to play close to .650 hockey over the final 26 games to even grab a wildcard spot.
I mean, sheesh... what are the odds that the team will suddenly win a whole bunch consistently while a handful of other teams just plain collapse???

Wings now up 6-1 against a team that just blanked us 4-0.
I’m well aware that any team can beat another team on any given night but as a beaten down Isles fan I say “Really?”

I can’t say I pay much attention to the Devils other than what their record is compared to the Isles.
Now imagine my surprise looking at Timo Meier’s stats. I saw he had a goal and an assist today so not bad there.
Season stats going into today’s game are horrendous:
45 games, 10 goals, 12 assists and easily the team worst +/- at -25.
Not so long ago he was looked at by some as the perfect fit on the Isles. He’s young enough to bounce back but we may have dodged one there.
