Here’s the Starter jacket they’re selling in the Eye. It doesn’t appear to be available online.

Teuvo Teräväinen, Esa Lindell (Dallas) and ex-NHL player Ossi Väänänen are part of the group that is funding the rebirth of Jokerit, their former team in Finland. The plan is to start next season in Mestis (2nd highest tier).

Jokerit was one of the biggest teams in Finland, but moved to KHL and was sold to Russian oligarchs. That adventure ended last year and they didn't have pro-team this season, but their junior teams have been very successful. The comeback process has been farcical, but this ownership group seems better than the ones that I've seen before.

We'll see, how it goes.

I wish them the best. Jokerit is an iconic team and deserves better than what has happened recently. It would be cool if their alumni helped them get back on their skates again.

Good to see Jokerit going back to the Liiga. Hopefully they can get their arena back soon.

No, they said there would always be some "available to the public" tickets to grow the fan base and for events and such, so the STM would be capped at 14K or similar number.
IDK- seems like most of the tickets I get to the games I go to are resellers /scalpers not stm holders reselling them.

Guess you never know

Also bear in mind that in the era of dynamic pricing, they can “dynamically” ramp up prices for the remaining tickets. So they end up making way more money on those seats if they don’t sell them in advance.

Many of those retailers are buying season ticket packages to resell.
And the front office is actively cutting down on them. They're tracking how often tickets within someone's account are being transferred and are terminating STM when they surpass a certain threashhold. Their goal is to get as many season tickets in the hands of local fans as possible going forward.

Big reason for this is that the team doesn't get a cut of secondary market sales, so they're looking to maximize their income and reduce other people making money off their name.

I’ll have to take this with a grain of salt. There are entire rows taken by obvious resellers. If they didn’t want those in the building, they wouldn’t be there. They don’t even need to be tracked, you can just stand there on game night and point out where the same 10 seats have been bought by opposing fans for the past several years running.

My guess is they’re selectively terminating those who buy only a couple of seats, and turning a blind eye to those who buy in bulk.

I think the proof is going to come in the next few years when, as Dundon alluded to in his interviews, a wait list grows for STM while we're actively ridding ourselves of partial STM plans. Would not be shocked if those resellers are pushed out while we're looking to add more people from a potential wait list.
