I think the proof is going to come in the next few years when, as Dundon alluded to in his interviews, a wait list grows for STM while we're actively ridding ourselves of partial STM plans. Would not be shocked if those resellers are pushed out while we're looking to add more people from a potential wait list.
Partial STM is what I used to own. I couldn't drinve in for 40 games a year then *southern nc* and I can't now *southern VA*

Shit if they had a 6 game plan I'd buy that just for the juice. But even the 11 is hard for me at 3h15m drive

Other than 06, that seems pretty much par for course?
Mostly, yes. At least at the deadline. I think you can argue that Cole was a big part of us playing well down the stretch in 09, but we had to give up Williams.

Most of the other trades I can think of that propelled us to a spot were earlier season trades like bringing back Sean Hill or the Hedican/Adams trade for Ozolinsh. I suppose they did bring in Kevin Weekes at that deadline and he played a somewhat big part in that 02 playoffs as well.

I’ll have to take this with a grain of salt. There are entire rows taken by obvious resellers. If they didn’t want those in the building, they wouldn’t be there. They don’t even need to be tracked, you can just stand there on game night and point out where the same 10 seats have been bought by opposing fans for the past several years running.

My guess is they’re selectively terminating those who buy only a couple of seats, and turning a blind eye to those who buy in bulk.
Beat me to the punch. Ticketmaster has been shown to work hand in hand with a lot of these bulk ticket resellers over the years, mostly because they get to double dip on the income they get from the sale/markup resale. The team may not like it, but I'd also bet there's not much they'd be able to do about it either without outright telling TM to get f***ed, which isn't happening.

At risk of being overly cynical about this, I think it’s much more likely that the partial STMs get pushed out, rather than the resellers.

As in the aforementioned 320 Row A, that’s an entire row of premium tickets which are extremely difficult to sell in a full season package, and they’ve been sold for years going back to when the team was terrible. Dundon has that many individuals lined up to take over the whole row when they get released, and willing to kick out a guaranteed sale? It would be great if that were true, and I hope color myself shocked someday, but I don’t believe that’s what we’re going to see.

I don’t think the team views bulk-resellers as a problem at all. If anything, they’re insurance against the ups and downs of the market. Bulk resellers don’t need to be pampered, they aren’t going to get in a twist and cancel because they don’t like the coach. They just keep feeding money into the machine, and money talks.

Keeping the momentum going with the college students. Expect an NC State contingent tomorrow night.

IIRC at least Anson tried, Eric Belanger who JR acquired earlier in the year didn't give a shit.
Yes, Belanger was not happy and not a particularly positive contributor. Anson just wasn't a particularly good player by the time we got him. Team didn't really have much chance down the stretch as I recall that year anyways.

2023-24 STM renewal stuff went out. they really subdivided up the lower bowl. also looks like they are trying to attrition some partial STM to free up space for more full STM with some of the changes there

Yeah they completely f***ed me over. After last year saying my pure hockey ticket price was grandfathered in, they pulled the rug out this year and doubled my invoice.

And of course there's nowhere else to go because all the other Pure Hockey sections are full.

So I'm pretty f***ed, and will likely be dropping my season tickets going forward.

come to the fan zone, i love it up here
I mean if what I'm seeing really is what I'm going to be dealing with next year, I'm going to drop and enjoy spending my money elsewhere.

I was assured the grandfathered price would remain only for the rug to get pulled out about 8 months later. I only have a couple tickets right now and haven't had any luck exchanging for 4 somewhere else to bring my kids, so the value just isn't there anymore.
