I think the proof is going to come in the next few years when, as Dundon alluded to in his interviews, a wait list grows for STM while we're actively ridding ourselves of partial STM plans. Would not be shocked if those resellers are pushed out while we're looking to add more people from a potential wait list.
At risk of being overly cynical about this, I think it’s much more likely that the partial STMs get pushed out, rather than the resellers.
As in the aforementioned 320 Row A, that’s an entire row of premium tickets which are extremely difficult to sell in a full season package, and they’ve been sold for years going back to when the team was terrible. Dundon has that many individuals lined up to take over the whole row when they get released, and willing to kick out a guaranteed sale? It would be great if that were true, and I hope color myself shocked someday, but I don’t believe that’s what we’re going to see.
I don’t think the team views bulk-resellers as a problem at all. If anything, they’re insurance against the ups and downs of the market. Bulk resellers don’t need to be pampered, they aren’t going to get in a twist and cancel because they don’t like the coach. They just keep feeding money into the machine, and money talks.
