Ok. 2011-12, Lundqvist faced 1753 shots against in 62 games. 28.27 saves/game

so far in 2013-2014 he faced 943 shots against in 34 games. 27.73 saves/ g

So he's had to work LESS.

Your logic would be valid if each shot was the exact same in a perfectly controlled environment.

However, in real world hockey thats not quite how it works.

Yes I thought the second goal was weak. As was the first, and yes, he made some good saves, but I thought we outplayed Dallas by a significant margin and it should have been a much easier win. And, no, I'm not on the "get rid of Lundqvist" bandwagon, and I definitely see improvement, but he is getting out-goaltended this year more often than not, and he is not anywhere close to where he used to be. My point on the second goal was he used to stop those shots.

As to how many games I've seen, I see roughly 150 games a year for 55 years - you do the math, I'm a public school graduate. And I don't live in New York anymore, left twenty years ago (I was a Ranger season ticket holder and went to EVERY game for 25 years - I was at the game where Eddie Giacomin came back after he was traded, that was almost scary.

However many games you've watched, it's clearly not enough. Characterizing that 2nd goal as "weak" is just intellectually dishonest. There are NO weak goals within 5' of the net. Zero. Not in the NHL.

Couldn't tell at the game who was the dman who fell down on the Stars first goal. Thought it was Stralman. Very surprised to see it was Staal. That was one of the weaker efforts I've seen from a Rangers dman in a while. Thought Staal played a strong game after that.

Kreider was a little invisible until the Nash goal.

Thought Henke was solid.

Good to get that win at home. Come from behind, and not in overtime. What an effort by Nash!

Sorry, can't agree, and my main point was that last few years, he stops that shot.

Why am I trolling because you disagree with me? He's been a mediocre goalie this year. I didn't say he had a mediocre career.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. He has been mediocre...for Hank.

But he's still Hank. I think he'll adjust....while letting in a few softies;-)

Since you were at game, they showed a replay after the goal that showed the Stars forward entering the zone had his stick blatantly between Staal's legs and certainly should have been a penalty. Not Staal's fault at all...he's been playing like his #1 shut down self for a few weeks now, loving seeing him play like this again...

NEW YORK – It’s all happened so quickly – and so quietly – perhaps you haven’t noticed. Perhaps you were focused on the NFL playoffs, or perhaps you’ve had your attention turned towards New York’s headline-creating basketball teams.

Well, it’s time to turn your attention back to the Rangers. They’re 7-2-1 in their last ten games, and have a power play that has become one of the league’s elite units.

Nice win.

To nit pick, another quite night until for Nasher until he scores a pretty damn amazing goal.

Steps needs to pull his head out.

Lastly, Zucc deserved more than 15 minutes tonight. He's our most creative player. I find myself rewinding to watch his passes. They are out of this world.

Tonight I noticed that having Callahan around seems to change things a bit for Hank. He is always in front ready to block and he blocked a couple of good ones.

Hank has been picking it up since Cally came back. Maybe I am onto something here?

4 BS tonight, 4 hits, some great plays, and a game tying goal. What else can you ask for from the captain?

I agree about Hank. What about Richards as well? Richards seems to have found his game again with Cally back and on his line. That line with Cally now has 5 goals in 4 games. It is the Rangers top line now.

There were times tonight when it seemed the Rangers had six skaters (& one goalie). They were all over the place, I can't say I've seen it like that since the early 90's.
