Geez, if Stepan, Nash, and Hank actually played well we're the 2nd best team in the division IMO. We have pretty good depth and the D is coming around.

The D? Like Staal loosing the race for the puck on the first goal. Like the 2 on 1 situation on the 2nd goal. Dallas scored because Our D was out of position.

Yeah, and look at the hawks forum. When we beat them 3-2 in an extremely close game there were cries of "TRADE KANE" "WE HAVE NO OFFENSE" "FIRST LINE IS USELESS". If you cant deal with people bringing up criticism then dont read ****ing forums. seems pretty obvious.

No, there are actually a bunch of relevant posts that make great points and make the forum worthwhile. Anyone saying "Trade Kane" after losing to another NHL team in the regular season is a moron. What are you trying to defend here? The right to be an ignorant fan? Good job. Criticizing Hank in a 3-2 win with a .923 save % and two goals beating him from within 5' isn't criticism. It's idiocy.

Someone needs to photoshop Lundqvist with goals going through his body.

seems about right

Dallas played last night. They were a bit tired no doubt. I think they wanted to slow this one down. All the face-offs. It makes it a lot harder for speed guys like Kreider and Hagelin who play their best when there is a lot of flow to the game.

The Rangers are playing well, the goaltending is mediocre as ever, save last game and even then he managed to give up a softy.

I know you're getting killed here, but I happen to agree with you. Against Chicago, the second goal was very weak (though he was great in the third). In this game, that second goal, last year he makes the save and on the first goal, despite that it should have been a penalty due to the hook on Staal, he was out of position.

Rangers played mostly well, shut down their top line thanks to MCD and Girardi, and it should have been a much easier win.

You don't seem to realize any sort of meta-thinking. So he has a .923 save % tonight. he had .82 in pittsburgh, .833 vs devils on 12-07. .818 vs TBL. .789 vs devils on 10-19. and less than .85 for the first 4 games. He hasnt had a good year thus far. deal with it. Meanwhile Ryan Miller in Buffalo has an awful defense and one of the best save % overall in the league.

edit: not to mention a myriad of mediocre performances.

Staal got tripped. He's been playing quite well since returning.

The D as a whole has improved a bunch recently

So we should criticize Hank's latest performance in a POST GAME discussion because he had a bad SV% in other games including one in October. Genius

Four in October. I'm not a lundqvist hater. This guy is just in every thread always saying that no one can ever say any of his goals against are stoppable.

I know (said it in another post earlier), but still he wouldnt have won that race. it should have been a pp to the rangers

But no i dnt think Staal has played well. I mean he has not been better than Strålman, McD and Girardi. So he is at best Our 4th best D. In this game MDZ played better imo.

Our D overall didnt play a good game. Letting a Dallas player go for the wrap around, giveaways, lack of positioning like when Zuke had to stand infront of Hank etc. Everythings seems so random. We need to protect Hank and not let every team in the League score easy goals.

ok, then we should proclaim Benoit Pouliot to be a HoF-point per game-master player in front of the net.

Really? Lundqvist has been the most consistent goalie in the league since 2006 and you're going to pull a Pouliot comparison? LOL. Credibility: lost.

Yeah, I'm sure I can selectively pull 6 bad games from his Vezina season, too and cite "meta-thinking" and other gibberish. Lundqvist has been much better and, gasp, the Rangers are playing like a playoff team again. Coincidence? Probably not. History and "meta thinking" proves it.

So your trend starts 6 games ago and mine starts 46 games ago.

Win #290 for Henrik Lundqvist. 11 to tie, 12 to pass Mike Richter as the New York Rangers all-time winningest goaltender.

My trend starts seven YEARS ago. You're off base on this one - especially considering new coach/system, new equipment requirements, new goal depth, etc... He's pretty clearly trending up.... As is the team.

He's consistently voted by the players as being the top 3 most difficult goalies to score on. That should tell you something.
