Typical stuff coming from him and also typical responses from people on here. Some are understandably upset over someone being a piece of trash in the comments they make. Some claiming it's a "joke" because it doesn't effect them so everyone should get over it and "lighten up" because they're too dumb to understand that even if it is a joke to them or when they say, other people will use that apathy to legitimately abuse people using that same "joke". Some are using the woke culture bs because they too are pieces of trash and want to continue to be and not get push back on being pieces of trash. Some are using the intentional double speak as a way to get out of calling someone a piece of trash "oh we can ignore the 12 trash things he said because he also included 1 nice thing".

Like I said. Typical in todays day and age.

Not really. It doesn’t, but if you think Edwards was being malicious here, that’s on you. Like I said, it was a silly thing to say, but it’s hardly a huge deal.

I believe his teammates call him “Fat Maroon” and “Big Rig” no?

I’m the first person to call Edwards an idiot because, well, he is… but this is nothing.

I normally like Jack Edwards calling the Bruins games, because his homerism resonates well with my own, and he is very passionate about the game and gets excited (even when the other team scores or makes a nice play). I like excitable announcers way more than some dry commentary. But he does say very cringy stuff every now and then, and this was one of those times. He can be quite tone deaf.

Edwards is an idiot. His comments on Maroon do not trouble me in the least. However, if Maroon or anyone else does feel slighted by his maliciously intended words, pointing out that he followed them with a compliment is a Fool's way of ignoring the original insult.

The comments are juvenile, but the bigger concern for me is that Edwards is clearly impaired. Based on the way he's talking in that video, he was either drunk or having a stroke during the game.
