Still not as bad as this one:
I just woke both the cat and girlfriend failing to keep the laughter in. That's some great trivia.
Still not as bad as this one:
Hearing Jack Edwards call a game is like listening to a clogged toilet overflow, but this particular clip is about as inane as he seems to be most of the time. I've never watched or listened to an entire game he called but I would have thought he said stuff like this regularly.
People don't hate him for something to do. His attitude and personality make listening to him a genuinely bizarre and unpleasant experience for most of us. But yeah, this isn't an unusually stupid thing for him to do.I doubt he's the first broadcaster to chirp an oversized player on-air, and he certainly won't be the last.
Because it's Jack Edwards though, here we are on Page 12 of a mainboard thread discussing it.![]()
Still not as bad as this one:
you could ignore the thread and not let it ruin your day. That's also an option. So let him trend on Twitter. Why does this deserve a thread? Or is this what all the kids are doing nowadays? reposting old news from one location to another? Do you get like secret magic points that no one told me about for doing stuff like this?
Or if zeppelins exploded on a more regular basisI'll repeat what I said for years.
Good broadcaster but wrong industry.
He would be ideal on WWE commentary. He's perfect for that.
Fan commenting based on YouTube outlier clips is astonishingly convinced those clips must be the entire sample size.Hearing Jack Edwards call a game is like listening to a clogged toilet overflow, but this particular clip is about as inane as he seems to be most of the time. Guy was livid.I'm surprised Jack Edwards even recovered from how traumatized he was over Dougie Hamilton wearing John McKenzie's retired Whalers number when the Canes had Whalers throwback night in 2018.
Oh, I've listened to entire periods he's called, and so have most of us. He's a weird, creepy idiot, the strangest sports broadcaster I've ever heard by a massive margin, and he'd be one on the face of it even if the clips most of us have seen represented the entirety of weird things he's said, which I very much doubt is the case. And this has nothing to do with which team he works for -- I'd have nothing bad to say about a competent and engaging Bruins play-by-play guy. I think you guys just don't really hear him anymore after so many years.Fan commenting based on YouTube outlier clips is astonishingly convinced those clips must be the entire sample size.
Except that Cherry didn't deserve to lose his job....Only a matter of time before he says something so stupid it'll cost him his job (just like it did with Don Cherry). Doubt this is the comment though.
Everyone knows hes a clown of a commentator.
