Maybe it was that Kadri had scored 3 goals, and started taking more needless chances, started playing loose?
As a coach, I see kids do it all the time.... why didn't that thought come to mind, before you assumed it was Kadri being lazy, unmotivated, or in other words, generally choosing to say that he didn't care?
What makes me lean toward my interpretation is Carlyle's talk about Kadri needing work defensively later in the conference: "Getting him to play a 200 foot game"
I'll admit I exaggerated when I said Carlyle "expressly" stated that Carlyle had work ethic problems, but again that was the overall impression I got watching the conference start to finish and listening closely to the Kadri comments.
