kadri doesnt make the shut down or energy 4th line, so he needs to beat out some1 in the top 6,

lupul, kessel, grab, bozak, jvr, mac...if kadri has to beat out mac to make team, does he?

the bottom 6 is crowded too, kule, con, mcclement, frattin, komarov, brown, steck

Well then we had better get him signed.

5x8?
6x8?
5x7?
5x5?
6x6?
What's the offer?

If he ends up being a ppg player this season, I'd expect either a 6x5 or 6x6 offer. He'd be worth more than grabo, and he got $5.5mil per. I'd even do 6.5, but for 4 years, with the option of a 5th. Just throw in some performance bonuses if he's not liking the salary or term too much.

The cap is just going to keep creeping up season after season, so while the idea of "leaf players" breaking $6mil might seem ridiculous to some right now, it just ends up benefiting the team in the long run, as their annual % of cap space decreases with each season.

Kessel however is a player I'd offer something like 7x7 after next season, pending his production remains the same/increases, and he doesn't get sidelined with a major injury. He's honestly turning into a real offensive threat. His playmaking skills have improved tremendously since he came here.

When 1050 first aired, I gave it a shot. Then I heard Cybulski and his partner interview Colin Campbell - that segment was such garbage. The way they tried to pry something juicy from Campbell was so unprofessional and childish that I permanently made the switch to the Fan590.

I know media outlets are supposed to stretch stories to sell more gossip to their listeners/viewers, but TSN does this in some brutal ways. Cybulski is a prime example.

I think what Carlyle will end up doing is keeping Kadri as the 23rd forward. If Connolly comes out of the gate sucking the pooch, he will insert naz

This will be Kadri's last chance with the Leafs he either sticks this time or they will cut him loose. And i would lean towards the latter this guy ain't never gonna be anything better than a 3rd or 4th line forward on a non NHL playoff team.

Kadri = bust Burke draft pick.

Pretty much this. Is there room for Kadri on this team? He's not a fit for bottom 6, so he needs to crack the top 6.

Actually things are starting to look up for Kadri with the trading of Lombardi and the waiving of Tim Connolly...
