Knicks having the worst record the year they overhauled the lottery odds completely is like getting Polio a week before the vaccine launched.

Don't even need to worry about the salary. Knox, this year's first, and Lance Thomas get us pretty close. Add in DSJ (I think they keep Frank due to his defense and not needing to be the primary ball handler w/ Kyrie coming) and they are just about there. That would be the baseline for any deal. All the other players added in would be to increase the trade's value.
I'm pretty much sold on them getting one of Kyrie/Kemba. We don't need a primary ball handler outside of a backup that they can find. Also Trier could fill that role to some degree. If they are getting a big 3 like that, there will be a veteran that is willing to sign to be a backup PG.
Heh, hate to break it to you but if NO sends us AD they're going to want everything we have that's worth having. That includes the new pick, Knox, Robinson, DSJ, Ntlikina, and even the scrubs with potential like DotsonLet's hope NO likes DSJ more.
Michael Kay had a cap expert on his radio show yesterday and it was explained that if the Knicks want AD on top of two max players, it would technically be possible but the deal could only be done in August and they would have to send a lot over. It was the expert's opinion that if he had the chance to do that he would definitely pull the trigger because three bigs is the winning formula in the NBA even if you deplete the bench and role playersDoesn't matter. Knicks for once are in the drivers seat.
You also have to match salary. So the Knicks giving all their roster players that the salary succeed's Davis cause NO wants that, isn't going to work.
Sorry, but I don't have that kind of attitude that the Knicks will do something crazy cause they did in the past.
Scott Perry hasn't shown that.

people speculating he may take vets minimum to join a loaded squad - that's the only way he's back on the teamDeAndre Jordan is a UFA? How is he figuring into this?
This thread just got absolutely crazy. Are people drinking already in preparation for tonight?
Why are we adding in all those filler contracts? They can add Lance Thomas and be done with it. That's the salary right there. He is signed for another year. While those players may have more value in terms of potential, are the Pelicans going to argue that if those guys aren't in it and Lance Thomas is that they would object? Those are guys who are fringe NBA players. Can be found like the Knicks got them, for nothing. I can understand moving out there deals on our end, but salary will not be an issue. Thomas+DSJ/Frank+Knox gets you there. Everything else is unnecessary.
Contracts need to add up to 22 mill. Thomas only makes 1 million.
Barrett don't fit with Irving nor Morant being a PG.
If it's not Zion, Knicks have to be looking at AD.
Would trade any pick except Zion and any player except Robinson to package for ADIf I get the #1, I keep zion
I hate Kyrie and want nothing to do with him
I'd trade anything else for AD though (not Zion)
I seem to be in the real minority here.

Why wouldn't Barrett fit in with Kyrie?
