Teams will always tank.
Also by doing this change, a borderline playoff team could decide to tank late if they feel they have solid shot of moving up.
Think the Lakers regret missing the playoffs?

No but Suns sure do.

Tanking is against the rules.

If there was a rule that no team can have more than one #1 lottery pick in any 10 year span, the Pelicans / Suns / Cavs / Wolves would not have been able to beat out the Knicks

I believe Durant/Irving is coming.

So what do y'all want to do? Keep the pick and the rest of the young players and hope Knox and Robison continue to improve. Or trade multiple assets for Davis?

Well they're the Knicks so if they keep in character they'll f'ng rape and pillage themselves out of everyone plus future draft picks for AD to tag up with Durant/Kyrie and then have nobody around them

Not sure you need to put a 10 year limit. But I think no more than 1 every 3 or 5 years is reasonable.

I'd rather see a rule barring a team's pick from getting more than 1 top pick in any 5 year period. But if the pick was traded that limit should go with it.

I don't think the Knicks could sign all of AD Durant and Irving without some creative accounting.
