OT: NBA Discussion Thread: Part IV

2.8% - Lakers to 4th
12.7% - Knicks to 3rd
6.7% - Grizzlies to 2nd
6.0% - Pelicans to 1st

AD still wants to be moved. Zion and RJ on the same team again? Ja Morant was Zion's AAU teammate. Either way they get a tandem to build around. Knicks get a huge piece for their big 3.

Lakers at 4 are not really a threat unless they want to part with so much more. In this draft, the 3rd pick has significantly more value than the 4th. Any trade with LA would mean the Lakers would need to move more value off their current roster to make the move.

Celtics aren't in that position either. The Knicks are the only team that makes sense for the Pelicans to fully reset their roster.

Significantly more gung-ho about trading 3 in something for AD obviously

Also obviously is that 3 is worth less than Zion :laugh:

At least we wont have to have the Zion or AD debate I guess

It's going to take way too much to get Davis. I don't see why don't we just do what the obvious thing to do is. Sign Durant and Kemba Walker(I want nothing to do with Kyree...sorry but he's a cancer). Draft Barrett. We head into the season with a starting lineup of KD, Knox, Kemba, Dotson and Barrett and you have guys like, Mitchell Robinson, Dennis Smith, Mudiay, Trier, Jordan and Frankie coming off the bench and you have a team that can challenge the Bucks, Raptors and Sixers in the East.

For peeps like me who were around when Knicks last won a title which was in 1973 and last were relevant 20 something years ago, I'd take that kind of a team in a NY second. I do not want Davis cause we will gut our team. Let's do what we set out to do....get KD and Walker and the rest will fall in place...:nod:

Not opposed to this either, but I'm not sure how gutted the team will be.

Trade #3. Trade both Dallas 1sts. Try and keep our 2021 1st. I know people don't want to deal Robinson, but how much would you expect him to play with Davis? Cash in on that 2nd rounder that could be a top 15 player from last draft when it is all said and done. Knox is the other piece to move.

If the goal is Kemba/Kyrie, DSJ doesn't have space on the team. With Barrett at 3, Pelicans have no need there. Trade him at the draft. If Kemba is gone, would the Hornets object to the #12 pick for DSJ? Could turn 12 into something nice.

All I know is the Pelicans getting #1 changed everything.
 
Oh well, like I said if not Zion, trade that pick for Davis.

If the NBA isn't happy about Zion in NO, fix this stupid lottery. Just give the team with the worst record if not the pick, or at least a much higher percentage to win it.
What I would also do is put a rule in that you can't have back to back 1OA picks.

It's difficult to build through the draft in the NBA and championship level team. Why punish teams trying to aim for the top pick?
