If the Knicks were looking to trade for Anthony’s Davis, things couldn’t have gone much worse for them

Brutal

Things could have a lot worse. They’re getting either Morant or Barrett. The Lakers, Bulls or Celtics didn’t ge Zion. And the Mavericks didn’t move up.

Rj or Morant is a fine consolation prize. Now we hopefully keep the pick and not gut the team for Davis.

Good point on Mavs pick, thankfully it doesn’t get pushed to 2022.

First of all, could anything have been more obvious than the Lakers moving up??? thank jeebus at least they didn't jump the knicks but still, that franchise gets every f'n break.

And honestly, we were praying to stay top 3 and we managed to do that. RJ was projected #1 overall at the beginning of season. I've got a good feeling about him. Can't go wrong with Rj or Jah at this point. Keep building.

However... I still do not believe Davis stays in NO. Seems like things fell apart in his relations with the team. And Zion does not make that team a contender for at least 2-3 years. If Knicks get KD and/or Kyrie, I still believe AD is a realistic possibility that he comes to NY. 10/10 a player wanting a championship would rather play with KD than Zion over the next 3-5 years.

And it's interesting, if NO drafts Zion, knows they're losing AD... what better way to keep the new franchise cornerstone in NO than to trade AD for his best friend and establish Zion/RJ as their young core for the immediate future. Probably one of the best ways to ensure Zion stays with the team and they don't have to go through another Franchise player bolting as soon as his contract is up. Lot of IFs I know, but just sayin... Don't think this means AD is gone as an option for the knicks at all

As far as I’m concerned this season was a failure. Anything short of Zion is a disappointment with all this losing being for nothing.
