This is my problem. Sure, you're opening up 2 max spots, but with how poorly the franchise is run, why exactly will any of these max level players want to come to play for the Knicks?

Sure, in a dream scenario you end up with Kyrie, KD and Zion as a result of this (plus the assets acquired for KP) but in real life "Knicks" style I see no way that happens, instead getting underwhelming free agents and whatever prospect is right after the two or 3 legit star ones.
