I don't think Lundqvist was BAD per se. He just is not playing like the best (and highest paid by a decent margin) goalie in the league. And you can't have that. You have to have players earning what they make in a salary capped league.

Hopefully it's just a phase and he gets over it.

stop bringing up his salary. It's not a relevant point. The performance in the game is what it is.

No goalie stops that last move. That was ****ing sick.
Hank had great moments but he also had his bad moments. You seem to get mad at everyone who just want hank to plau tp his his standards thats all. I repsect fans who like hank BUT want more

I wouldn't even say the defense was terrible outside of some individual bad plays, they did a better job not leaving guys wide open, taking the man in front of the net, and clearing rebounds. Stralman attempting to pass the puck directly through Atkinson that resulted in the breakaway was dumb, Stralman getting caught flat footed for the 3rd goal that led to the oddman rush was bad, Girardi getting crunched in the corner and not being able to pick up DUbinsky was...not really his fault, I pin that one on Boyle because he ahd a breakout pass go off his stick directly to the guy who took the shot that Dubinsky deflected in.

There are things I don't like about how they're playing defense but this was more individual mistakes than systematic mistakes.

100% true. This place is full of a bunch of people who have zero clue about the game, let alone never stepped foot on the ice. Good post. :handclap:

C'mon Nev. Admit that Bob mad two strong saves in the SO. In fact, the second was a mirror of the first one that Hank let in.

Not saying the Hank goals were soft, but we was beaten relatively easily.

Hank's reactions just seem really slow. Aging or what? He's spent a lot of his career relying on reaction and reflex. Steep decline this year.

His body language has looked pretty bad at times.

I'm not on the bash Henrik bandwagon, but reality is reality the dude blows currently and I really don't see a reason to have him start the majority of the games until after the Olympics. Go let him play on another team and work out his demons. As of right now in more than HALF of the games he has started this season the Rangers would have had to score 4+ goals to win. Who the hell is scoring at 4gpg let alone the Rangers?

Btw what is with Brassard and Zucc both receiving great back door passes and taking their ****ing time to shoot? They wait for Bobrovsky to move over and get set and then shoot ? Wtf is that? Waste of quality scoring chances.

Just a fun fact for you Lundqvist haters, HES NOT MAKING $8+ MILLION YET. When he is actually making that money, then you can ***** and moan about it.

I know Henrik is staying. Don't want him traded. But its now January and he still looks lost and unsure.

"Slick moves" beat him in OT? No. He backed into the net on the first shooter. Second shooter he just watched stickhandling on his doorstep rather than be aggressive.

That Kreider penalty cost us the game. No doubt about it. We dominated completly until then. Its so frustrating :(

We played a solid game. We came back in the Third and tied the game.

Dnt forget that Bob is like the best goalie in the world. Last year he gave the CBJ a chance to make the playoffs. What a goalie.

How the hell do you zoom in on Zucc but not Danny G? Is it because he didn't have the puck deflect into his own net and his giveaways didn't lead to an outright goal?

Don't forget, he was the player coming off the bench in OT who got the puck to the Blue Jackets' surprise.

Need I remind you what he did with that opportunity?

Girardi was Girardi. To see someone put Zucc as one of the three stars when frankly, he was mediocre, was surprising to see.

Heck of a hockey game. Now that was fun to watch.

Lundqvist was great. Though Girardi played well too.

Infuriating that after the questionable Kreider call, and the Stepan call, that AV is just chewing his ****ing gum.

..That still doesn't nullify Girardi! Give him a participation ribbon, but a ****ing star?!

Oh my god I wish I could bet all of my vcash on that game. Talbot and his fan club would be in for a rude awakening.
There is no Talbot fan club. Hank and Talbot play for the same team so you root for both. Even hank fans should be happy talbot has been tremendous. Its all about the wins

Bobrovsky has not had a good season. Hes been just as inconsistent as Lundqvist. Two of the goals were suspect.

Maloney just said Lundqvist is "still working on his game". Huh? Whats he working on? Theres only 35 or so games left.

Hes not making it easy on Sather.

Eh, I'd go with Henrik again against the hawks. He needs to play. Can't start sheltering him against elite teams.

With how this season is playing out? I'd settle for the lottery pick.
