You can't keep giving up 3 goals and expect to win. Lundqvist is the difference between winning and losing.

The obnoxious nicknames make it much more difficult to pick 3 stars.

NYR generated the chances, didn't finish enough of them. Very surprised that for his play in the AHL, Erixon can't make this team.

This board did a complete 360 in a matter of an hour. Went from hating him in the second, to loving him in the third and OT, and then back to hating him because of a shootout.

Hint: None of the rangers scored in the shootout either.

Also, you definitely are seeing a lot of users blaming other players on this team..as was mentioned previously.

what a bunch of ******** that was.

People complaining about Hank? Really? I question whether some of you know anything out hockey at all. That game doesn't get it overtime let along a shoot out if Hank isn't superb in the third period.

You want to complain about the shoutout? Okay we'll Hank got best on two slick moves that best most goalies. Zuc shoots directly into Bobs glove and Nash gets stopped. That's why the shoot out sucks.

On another topic this is a game where I'd like to see the refs be held accountable after the game. That Kreider call is absolutely atrocious. Then the Stepan penalty was absolutely brutal.

Refs? Those two calls were absolutely awful, but I thought the Rangers got the benefit of the doubt more often than not, after the refs realized the **** the bed on the Kreider call.

The Rangers defense looked really slow tonight. More than before.

Mcdonagh played well today. Moore wasnt too bad himself. But Girardi and Stralman killed them defensively and turnovers.

You are correct. We Don't deserve this crap heap of a goaltending performance! However Henrik clearly deserves every penny of his enormous contract.

Yeah Talbot would be a better starting goalie. He is cheaper

Hey im Talbot and ive played 10 solid game. Yay me ....

Aw you guys. We need Hank in the playoffs, so plz stop we this ********. Hank played well tonight. Above 90% save, made some huge saves on deflections, few rebounds etc.

Hank was dominant in that 3rd period and OT.

I know most of you are going to be spending the rest of your night trying to bite your own ******* over how terrible this team is, or this goaltender, but honestly: That was good.

If we're going to lose games (and we are), that's a way to lose them. We played well. Nash had 2 goals. Callahan and Stepan both had good games. CK was a BEAST until the refs decided to readjust the game. The defense ***** the bed and Hank can't bail them out. We go down 3-1.

And then we come back. Cally to Richie to Nash to a Cally screen, and Boyle nets a garbage goal. THAT'S EXACTLY what we need. I may hate everything about AV, but him giving the boyle line PP time last game was perfect. Boyle nets a goal, gets confident, plays outstanding tonight. No coincidence.

Hank looked shaky at times, and dominant at others. He's getting better, and he'll round back into form. This round robin with Talbot is rough. But he will be better.

We got it to OT, and got a point, something we HAVE NOT DONE ALL YEAR. With the position we are in, getting a game like this to OT is imperative. Every point is going to count.

We lost in a shootout. It's rock-paper-scissors on ice. Whatever.

If our shooters and goalie had guessed right, we'd be calling this a gutsy-comeback win. That goes DOUBLE for losing CK, and the 3 min PK.

I hate AV and what he's done with this team, but this was not a bad game for our guys. They pulled a point out of a game we all counted them out of.

Step by step.

100% true. This place is full of a bunch of people who have zero clue about the game, let alone never stepped foot on the ice. Good post. :handclap:

Despite my anger over this team playing for the ****ing shootout a couple of great things about this game. Kreider and Nash. Nash had his best game of the season. That's more important than the extra point. Kreider is fantastic. Most exciting player the Rangers had in a long time. I seriously think he's even more exciting than Nash last year. Do does everything well, except his shot can use work.

1-0 loss to the Devils. Gaborik got tripped final second or had a goal disallowed or something. I knew it involved Gaborik though.

Anisimov scored with 10 seconds left to tie the game, but because one of the Devils literally grabbed Gaborik and thew him into Brodeur they called goalie interference and waived off the goal.

Somr of you guys are like spoiled little kids who don't appreciate what you have. Hank has given his all for years and carried this pathetic excuse of a team for countless of years. And the first time in his career when he's actually struggling a lot of you turn your backs to him, absolutely disgusting.

I hope all of you feel bad when he eventually gets his confidence back and start dominating again.

A lot of you will probably kiss his ass next season.

Disgusting behaviour... support him him instead of ******** on him for once. I'm out, peace!

I root for the sweater.

For that reason, I hope Hank finds his game. But, we as fans owe him nothing. He is paid handsomely for playing a game. When he fails to produce at his pay grade, we have every right to call him out.

Like it or not boys hank isn't going anywhere and he won't be a back up either. I think he'll get it together

I don't think Lundqvist was BAD per se. He just is not playing like the best (and highest paid by a decent margin) goalie in the league. And you can't have that. You have to have players earning what they make in a salary capped league.

Hopefully it's just a phase and he gets over it.

NHL goalie is the new NFL running back - once the critical component to a championship team, now just an important role that can be filled by 80th percentile players at $4-5M a year.

San Jose, Chicago, Pitt, Blues, and on and on - all have solid goalies - no HOF threats just good enough to win. So what do the Rangers do? Why they spent nearly 15% of the cap on a fricken' goalie and then abandon a clamp down, defense-first strategy that was the only reason they got near the finals in the last decade. Genius move once again.

BTW, I hated the defense-first borefest but it suited the low talent level. Now it's a clusterfudge of a team with no real chance to win.

I also agree he isn't playing bad but very average considering his reputation.

Nobody hates him. Certain people like pointing out he's off his game, certain others ignore it, and the rest just dont say anything.

I dont think anybody can ever hate the guy. I think winning should trump personal allegiances.

Not really...this was not one of Zucc's better games.

How the hell do you zoom in on Zucc but not Danny G? Is it because he didn't have the puck deflect into his own net and his giveaways didn't lead to an outright goal?

Don't forget, he was the player coming off the bench in OT who got the puck to the Blue Jackets' surprise.

Need I remind you what he did with that opportunity?
