Kid must feel like he's 10 feet tall.
I wonder how tall Grohl’s daughter feels, as she « won » an audition to perform at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute show. :sarcasm:

That song was always seen as a CCR song because of the kind of southern usa guitar riff sound and the voice similar as John Fogarty. But if was the Hollies, the UK group. This is a song by Allan Clarke, the singer. And this isn't a typical song by this group,

There is a funny comment if you scroll down : The best, absolutely THE BEST song ever written. That opening guitar riff is instantly recognizable by anyone who grew up in the 60's and 70's. As a friend said "A guitar riff so dirty it needs penicillin." which sums it up perfectly. LOVE IT!

It’s not just the riff but the special sound that was generated. No other song sounds like it.

That was genious and everybody who lived in that era remember that song. I recently learned to play that opening on guitar and it's not so hard because there is a lot of open chords. It's a pattern of 3,3,3 chords with only one finger on one chord at the time. But the timing is hard to catch, I'm not a pro on guitar, lol.

I must've heard this song 1000 times and I never once thought of CCR. But it really does sound like them.

It’s never too late to learn anything. Lots of days I want to go back to playing drums, I miss it badly. I’ll remedy that when I move to a new location where I can build a sound proof room. I could go to these practice rental places or play an electronic kit but I’d rather get my own set of DWs and go all out (in a blaze of whatever).

When bands actually took the time to compose something, not just slap something together.

Can't find my way Home

One of the best work of Clapton on guitar and it's accoustic.
And also another great song by Steve Windwood. This is song that makes you recover after an hard time. It's like when you're on the shore, thinking about your life and the ones you love. It's personal but many consider that song very beautiful. The meaning of this song might be many things. The more probable theory is to stop taking drugs and recenter on your life.
This is a link that explains that song.

This song caught my ear, so I'm binge listening to her material. Not bad at all.

Great vibe. Thirteen years after its release, it hasn’t aged one bit. I see a little Miley in her — might explain your penchant, in part. :sarcasm:

I get ear worms and kicks now and again. This was one of mine a few months ago, but it’s a much more recent release (a year ago):

Short clip but lots of attitude and perfect delivery for maximum effect. It’s addictive.

A great song by the Beatles explained. I should say a great song by George Harrison.
Here Comes The Sun
This is "mathemusic". Sorry this is in french from a french of France but on the web he's the one who explains the best how the song is indian built in mathematic and rythm. I can be very complex to understand because rythm in indian music is very complex. But this guy explain to make anyone able to understand, with music samples and graphics. This video shows the influence of George Harrison in pop music and the work behind a simple song like Here comes the sun. Not so simple song. But a beautiful song.
