We will see Drouin score 100pts and win the Art Ross and likely the Hart? Alright. I shall be waiting.
God I hope so. But yeah, not holding my breath.

Wut??? Load of bs. Talk to Pacioretty please.
I'd rather keep chucky, but Leddy + Beauvillier isn't bad.
Leddy + Barzal would be my ask though.
I like the Drouin deal and I'm happy we got him.
But I can't help thinking we would have been better served using Sergachev to help us land a #1/#2 center. Guess we'll see what other tricks Bergy has up his sleeve.
I think we need to count our blessing.
Teams are not giving away budding superstars like Drouin. Like another poster mentioned this unusual set of circumstances made him available.
Drouin is that rare player in that he makes others better around him. He's a playmaker with vision and has great hockey sense. He's only 23. Not a win now trade like people have said. Now will be his prime years for a long time.
He will help Patch and Galyenchuck become better players if we keep both those guys.
People screaming about a big time center. Teams don't just giveaway their best players. I think if we settle for a solid center this team will move upwards.
Maybe Drouin can teach Pacioretty how to pass
Pacioretty can pass, he just handles the puck like a hot potato and fumbles it before getting the opportunity to even pass it 90% of the time.

JD can carry the puck up the ice and find Max waiting for that patented one timed snapper. I'm expecting big goal numbers for Max this year playing alongside JD.
I'm not.
I don't know what you're referring to when you say Max's one timed snapper. Most of his goals are off the rush. His one-timer is ****.
It really is amazing how he can average almost 35 goals a year without being a trigger man on the PP. Pavelski is probably the only other top goal scorer that doesn't rely on a bomb of a one-timer for a large portion of his goals.
It's not really amazing when you watch him 5 on 5

He's pretty invisible at ES too. He capitalizes on the chances he gets off the rush, for the most part. He's a good skater with an amazing release. That's Pacioretty in a nutshell.
So he sucks on the PP and he's invisible 5 on 5, yet scores 35 every year...can't believe we're keeping this guy around
Is that what I said?
You implied his goals totals would skyrocket now that he had someone to feed him for his "patented one timer snapper" and I'm still wondering to what one-timer snapper you're referring to. That never was Pacioretty's bread and butter.
I never denied he's a good scorer. I've described him as a good skater with an amazing release and I think that's fair enough. We don't have to pretend like he's the second coming of Ovechkin. He's not. He can't handle the puck. He can't stick handle much. He isn't physical. He plays on the perimeter. And he's not very good at one timing pucks. I think we all know what kind of player Pacioretty is at this point.
lol exactly. Pacioretty couldnt have asked for a better passer than DD always searching for him on the ice. Patches is definitely an "off the rush" goal scorer. I just wished he would be more effective in the playoffs and maybe Drouin will help in that aspect.
