What’s a “clapper”? Do you mean “slapper” as in slapshot?Serious question for the novice hockey fans who don’t see anything wrong with Grieg unloading “a clapper” five feet away from an empty net - - why do you suppose we don’t see more players taking “a clapper” like that on empty net breakaways?
You are more likely to miss if you do a full wind up than if you tap it in.Serious question for the novice hockey fans who don’t see anything wrong with Grieg unloading “a clapper” five feet away from an empty net - - why do you suppose we don’t see more players taking “a clapper” like that on empty net breakaways?
Seems to me like Rielly was schooled by Greig.you dont have to like or even understand hockey culture but it exists. that play is always going to end up in a scrum regardless of the player or teams involved. the only reason for that play is to intentionally antagonize your opponent. im all for the slapshot too but it was a totally cowardly move to run away from the scrum. grieg should have taken that slapper and immediately turned around and faced rielly.
he has a good point, all the talk of what code????
Reminds me of when Brady Tkachuk cross checked Huberdeau when he scored an ENG. Sens seemed to have a problem with that one, so they'll probably understand Morgan's response.
if you change the x to twitter it will show upaka little Ridley f***ed around and found outx.com

Except Greig is much smarter than Rielly cause Greig didn't break a rule.yup, they both broke the code.
It'll be 5 or moreI should have added a number to quantify it I suppose.
2 or fewer?
3 or 4 games?
5 or 6 games?
Greig took a blindside cross check to the head. The force of which knocked him silly. How was he, while in that state, join the resulting scrum?you dont have to like or even understand hockey culture but it exists. that play is always going to end up in a scrum regardless of the player or teams involved. the only reason for that play is to intentionally antagonize your opponent. im all for the slapshot too but it was a totally cowardly move to run away from the scrum. grieg should have taken that slapper and immediately turned around and faced rielly.

Grieg was the one who learned a lesson TBHExcept Greig is much smarter than Rielly cause Greig didn't break a rule.
Rielly did, and will get a lengthy suspension.
Educated.
So the proper response to show boating is, assault? Just sounds like immature dudes who can’t handle essentially trash talk.
The real answer is they're on the phones with multiple "league insiders" floating ideas, reading the reactions on twitter and other sites.the DOPS is awaiting word from Gary Bettman on how to cover for the Maple Leafs and Morgan...that is typical of both the DOPS and Gary...
Good take
