BIG yikesAlready growing tired of JD Davis
BIG yikesAlready growing tired of JD Davis
I was at the game tonight -- being a big fan of both teams. Was hoping there wouldn't be a repeat of Thursday's "scalping"....I knew Tribe was done when Lindor threw that ball away.Solid W for the boyz....sweet. Now we have good shot at taking 2 of 3 in this series which is the goal. So we sit 1.5 our of 2nd WC....keep on chugging along Metsies.
I know for me, I'm looking for Stromen to finally put it all together and not have one of his blowup innings he invariably has. Tomorrow night would be a nice time to do it...we'll see.
I don't think he's 100% and probably won't be until next year. He should be dropped in the order.Judge really needs to get going.

And the Metsies break it open baby...woo f'n hoo.
Mets are a bad ass team at home that's for sure. And with 26 of our final 38 at home, that gives me even more confidence that we can pull this WC thing off.
I somehow missed the Mercado error...saw the Conforto moon shot. Having watched the Tribe play Jekyll/Hyde baseball all year (I was also at the 19-5 game against Yanks), they usually have a chance to come back from errors like that with their lineup. However, the minute I saw that ball Lindor threw go past the 1b man, I knew they were done.Great game to be at Z. I was thinking that bone headed error by Mercado was even more impact than the Lindor error which really should have been Santana's error as he has to catch that easy one hopper to him. Mercado's error allowed Conforto a "free" AB seeing Bieber, who was cruising and in a groove, should have easily gotten out of that inning and Conforto took advantage and hit his key homer to give us that 4-2 lead.
Bottom line is Mets took advantage of the Indians mistakes which led to a fairly easy win. Good teams take advantage of **** like that and Met did. Now they are primes as I said previously to take at least one of these next two vs Indians and keep themselves right on the cusp of that 2nd WC.
Hopefully the Nationals slow the heck down seeing ever since w beat them 2 of 3 in that important series 10 days ago, tho they thankfully lost to the Pirates tonight, they have went on a 8 of 10 streak to extend their #1 WC advantage to 3 games over us.
Cano wouldn't have reached first yet.Bieber as. suspected settling in throwing zero's since JD homer. As I speak Mercado drops an easy fly ball gifting Mets a runner at 2B....gotta take advantage of this.
Funny was thinking Panik is on 2B on that dropped easy fly ball. Had it been Cano, he would have been maybe still on first if not throw out.....good hustle by Panik.
Mets should change last game vs Braves to a 7pm game as the Braves have to fly yo Colorado afterwards. They wanna play dirty, so can we. Not only that, they have to change flight plans. Cost them money, lmao. Okay I am an evil Mets fan. Don't mess with me.Braves once again screwed the Mets over by refusing to play a day game on a getaway day. They continually do this to NL East opponents and the league does nothing about it. The Mets arrived at 3-4am last night and similar to what we saw opening day were dead offensively
Thanks, was drinking heavily at the time and couldn't remember for the life of me. I CRINGE when he is doing pbp, have learned to shut off volume. Now Apple, uggh. Sam and Cohen shouldnt be allowed vacays. Sorry, we shouldnt ever have to go through such.John Giannone
Honestly, I think he will surpass that. He is amazing, which fits right in with what we have going on right now.He needs 12 to tie Judge's record with 38 games left.
yes, Max I get it..... but I'm looking directly at that Cubs series after we play the Braves. Those games are must win two out of three if not sweep. We can sweep them, yeah almost swept them in June in Chicago. They're ahead of us and we need to take at the very least two of three.I'm in total agreement and have been suggesting something similar in some of my postings the past few weeks. That's one of the reason I'm keeping close track of Mets record since the Nats series seeing that was the official end of our "easy schedule" and this tough ass 47 game stretch was about to commence.
So like you, I felt that so long as we hung around the 4-5 games over the .500 mark until mid-September when the schedule eases up finally, we would be right in the thick of it and likely a solid last two weeks of season would do the trick. Well right now we are 4 games over .500 and 5-4 since the schedule turned ugly....not too shabby actually.
Woo hoo...Conforto baby who never should have been up in the inning...
Mercado gift error...we take advantage...love it.

That bases loaded single up the middle that Alonso hit, scored 2 runs and Apple literally choked and said "little to nothing" and hardly even knew a 2nd run scored. (Altherr) I think I heard him say oooooh, as if he were a fan watching at home. Had it been radio, the listener wouldnt have had a clue what was going on. Okay, enough bashing. Shows how valuable Cohen is.Yeah they need Gary Cohen back. What's with the delayed calls all the time? Like he has trouble seeing or something.
