The offense better pick up Noah. He's been amazing for 2 months.

I've given up that they'll hit for deGrom, but they better hit for him.

Pretty intentional HBP on Alonso there

The main question for this game now is how many the Cubs will put up.

Big inning there and now we're into the Cubs bullpen. Need a quick inning here to get the bats right back out there

So typical as if we all havn't seen this movie a couple of hundred times in our fandom.

Go down big in a big game....Make comeback....Get said fans believing again as the "tease" is on. Than leave runners in scoring position the rest of the game and lose....rinse repeat and rinse again.

I dunno boyz...I truly believed that with this pitching staff and the pen finally figured out for the most part, there was no way on gods green earth, this team would be capable of 5-6 game losing streaks...just didn't.

Well, we are in a pickle now and likely we are going to need one of those 8 wins in 9 types of streaks again to get back in it otherwise, despite mathematically being still in the mix for a WC, realistically we will pretty much be on the outside looking in. I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm not pissed the f*** off.

On a positive note, Diaz looked good....hah

And here we go again as the tease continues...Frazier on by an unconscionable error from Baez and a double from the Squirrel...No outs...2 on and JD up....to funny

Yup...typical Met tease in full effect as I said. Two runners again in scoring position NO outs but just get one run. That's 3 straight innings that they've had runners in scoring position with less than two outs and only got one run measly run out of it.

This team drives me absolutely nuts!!

And here we go again....what a surprise....first two guys on in the 9th...NO outs and Rosario up. Can a miracle occur? Probably not but it's just so typical of the Mets to pull this shit....lol

Tease complete as Mets strand two more in scoring position.

Mets lose. Sound familiar? We be in trouble folks. 4 games out of 2nd WC.

Amazing that we are now 3-5 on this homestand after starting 3-0 vs Indians and everything smelling like roses....can't make this shit up. So ticked off that I'm going to watch tennis and hope Serena loses!!

Got the best of both worlds there. Felt the suffocation of getting nuked out of the gate to think it was a laugher early AND got to feel the agony of them choke away multiple chances to take this thing.

Sloppy defense and Syndergaard imploding cost them obviously but even though they fought back, they left a runner on 3rd in each of the last 4 innings and went 3 for 15 with RISP. Comeback was there for the taking and they just lacked that extra big hit during it.

I know there was some thoughts I saw floated elsewhere about maybe Mickey having to pull Syndergaard earlier but I got no issue with that. Game was pretty much over from the get go and you can’t yank Syndergaard after an inning and deplete the entire bullpen with the stretch they have coming up. They needed to get as much length from him as they could. Them making it even this close was unexpected.
