It would be so Met like for them to score a few runs here in the 9th..get the "tease" going, have the tying run at 2nd or so and than someone whiffs and we lose 4-3.

And put it in the books...tease accomplished, Mets lose to the shitty Royals and now Mets have two must games coming up tomorrow and Sunday.

We are now 3-4 since start of the Nats series and this very tough 34 game stretch we have. Most of our main competition for a WC spot all won.

Hate to say this and I'm usually a cup half full guy but if we don't win these next two vs the Royals, I think we are done no matter what the standings might say. Our schedule is just too tough for us to go on another winning streak where we win 8 of 10 or so...it's just not going to happen.

So regroup...we have deGrom and Wheeler going tomorrow and Sunday and just do the job and get it done.

Hopefully JD isn't hurt...that's my main concern right now.

Braves once again screwed the Mets over by refusing to play a day game on a getaway day. They continually do this to NL East opponents and the league does nothing about it. The Mets arrived at 3-4am last night and similar to what we saw opening day were dead offensively

To be fair, every team goes through this.

This IS an issue and should be mandatory unless extenuating circumstances present.

In regard to the loss, pretty disappointed right now and ifwe dont get.....you can already specify this loss and opportunity to sweep with deGrom vs Washington. I mean you cant expect to win them all but losing that momentum with deGrom? Losing 2 of 3 to Atlanta was understandable somewhat....at least no sweep. 23 hits and then this. Wow, just wow.

I cannot even take credit for noticing it. Only reason I became aware is a friend who is a Phillies fan called me in December last year to say one of their radio sports shows claimed the Phillies has filed a complaint with MLB. In the complaint the Phillies said it was only occurring with NL East teams and nobody else noticed. The Phillies I believe noticed it in 2017 and 2018 bit waited til Braves started posting times for games this year to say something. When you look at their schedule this year you can clearly see outside of Sunday games they end many series vs the Marlins Phillies Nats and Mets at night. I have to believe part of it is concerns of playing in afternoon heat but many other teams in hot climates do it

Sorry gentleman, I know how excited you are and I haven’t updated....

Acuña Matata Watch:
5 HR-11 SB and 15 RBI to hit the 40-40-100 mark

Also someone sent me a stat about Acuña that proses that he will develop into an even more dangerous hitter since he is hitting well over .300 against off-speed offerings and more average against fastballs at like .270-.280.

Really awesome getting to watch him and Alonso in this division the next 10 years or so.

The SB's are going to be tough to reach but the others are numbers he should reach easily.

27 straight winning seasons by far. Half of the Yankees championships were pretty... lopsided for lack of a better word. Can’t ever really discount greatness like that but 27 winning in a row at the peak of the league and sprinkling in a dynasty and other championships. I think overall that’s a way more impressive feat.

The Braves are limited to how many day games they can play during the week due to the atrocity that it Sun Trust Park.

There is almost no public transportation and all the parking is actually at office buildings. The situation is an abject disaster, but corruption rules down south.
