I thought Joe Thornton was just an ass but go read his comments when he left this team is poison environment guess he was telling the truth

Yeah I guess that's why he formed meaningful relationships with so many of them and still hang out with them to this day. So poison.

If a core leads to multiple coaches losing their jobs, it's the players that are at fault. They will do the same thing to a third, fourth, and fifth coach too.
I get that.

So many of you are against advanced stats right now. So put your eye test to work. Forget the players for a second. I'm not forgiving them I'm just saying forget them for a second.

The entire team structure has become like the powerplay. There is none. That's on the coaches. We can't decipher what the plan is. When teams suck you can at least rationalize what their failed strategy was. What's the Leafs plays?

It might be on the coaches or maybe the core players simply don’t want to do what the coach are instructing

I don’t lose sleep over much. Lol. What they wear on their own time is 100% their choice but when they represent a proud organization that pays then crazy amounts of money I just think they could dress professionally.
Add in the fact that this is probably not the time to be demanding certain long standing rules to be thrown out. If they were winning and producing results it might mitigate the bumpy look. If they worked in a school or law firm or many other jobs they would be sent home for inappropriate apparel.
The fan base is so upset with them right now why would they throw the power they hold over Dubas and Shanny in the fans face. Just one more example or poor decisions by some very unlikable athletes

They aren’t the only organization doing it and who’s to say the players asked for it? A lot of assumptions being made. It sounds like it came from up top. Not the players

it’s constant blaming the players for organizational decisions. Critique their on ice play. Stick to that. Fans have the right to.

the marner starter pack

How is he kept on the #1 PP despite it being abysmal for so long, and he has zero goals in over a year on it!? It's predictable and several coaches now have had no luck correcting?
Because management/coaching is so deathly afraid of hurting player's feelings (I shouldn't say coaching so much because I really think there's things Keefe wants to express fully, but Dubas muzzles him, just my opinion, not fact at all).

After Marner's dud series against Columbus, Dubas felt the need to come out and call Marner's criticism "idiotic". I swear to god he's more worried about guarding his player's feelings than he is about having them perform optimally.

He got bigger and more muscled .. another bad idea to try to improve his shot but really backfired LOL .. it only slowed him down foot speed a little more
Says on NHL.com (not accurate at all, I know) that he's only 2 pounds heavier than last year.

What was his weight last year and what's his weight this year? (granted you actually have this information)

No idear on stats but Jimmy told me (Dermy's dad) .. our kids played summer hockey and trained with same skating coach .. at least he tried something LOL

And how would you know this lmao Your part of the team The team sucks spoiled entitled children with fans like you They’ll never change

Mitch Marner literally said he can't wait to see Joe in Florida and hang out with him. Joe Thornton went to a UFC match this summer with Auston Matthews. Matthews literally went out of his way to say how much Thornton means to him and his family. This is pretty common knowledge. The core is close with both Marleau and Thornton.

Auston has openly said his fashion sense draws some inspiration from NBA players (you can tell Russ Westbrook in particular had some influence), they all blow their $$$ on awful, pretentious fashion. The guy also openly brags about using womens deodorant daily. His generation is definitely a different breed…

Don’t be surprised when he rolls into the arena wearing some sort of ambiguous man skirt like Russ too.

LOL if you think they are spending anything on clothing think again. These designer brands send them the clothes to wear.

I once saw Wendel Clark after a Leafs practice wearing the most gawd awful fur coat. He looked like a muskox with a handlebar moustache. Gilmour was also a bit of a fashionista and did some modeling.

While I agree with your point, NHL players looking like peacocks isn't something new to this generation.
