Let them be free to express their individuality.
When you criticize Marner, others come in to protect Marner by going after other players who have nothing to with Marner's individual performance. This is most common with Marner only. Some can't take him being criticized. Doesn't help that the excuses are almost pre planned.
It also has to do with expectations. Some have said he's better then Eichel and rather have Marner then Matthews. He's not better then any of those guys and that was confirmed a long time ago.
Marner just needs to play like the top winger he is, and not play like he is better then players superior to him.
Let them be free to express their individuality.
I’m not thinking they necessarily need to wear a suit but the clown outfits that Marner and Matthews have been wearing are not appropriate for multi millionaire professionals.in fairness, the NHL is the only league that really makes players wear a suit. again just a bit of a traditional thing, but most athletes rarely wear suits to games, has no bearing on perfomance. it's just clothes
Mickey mouse shirt fits with the play of this team.
I picked marner in my pool, what do i do with him now?
His dad has multiple accounts he is the only one telling you he is better than cane Or maybe his secret lovers Junior mints the bestMarner better than Eichel only? Some will tell you he's better than Patrick Kane...that comparison is so ridiculous it's unbelievable...Marner is not even half the player Patrick Kane is.

One of the coolest and toughest guys I ever knew, dated yes I said it the most popular Leaf of the last half century...
So ya the guy was gay....But man he was very good looking and tougher than almost anyone I ever came across..
So no big deal in todays day and age where fornicating with a sheep on yonge street might be deemed a tad innapropriate, but animal rights activists and god knows who else would attack you if you found it offensive and deplorable...
But I gotta say my gay friend and his leaf companion, who has now since married and has kids, never looked anywhere near as effeminate as matthews in this photo...
Not looking for any beefs from any genderists...But I have always said, a picture is worth a thousand words.
I was the first on the internet to proclaim that luke schenn was way overhyped...
I quite liked him actually, seemed like a really likeable guy but when I saw a pic of him, displaying his calves, I proclaimed bust right away.
The abuse I took from Leafnation was beyond belief for two years...
Wayne Simmonds for all his tough talk and bluster, must hide his parakeet calves from his teammates as well..
Cinderella has better legs than this nothing..
This pic of marner and matthews says it all for me... I had a wrist problem when I was a world ranked athlete...It took five years to get over..
Matthews, playing hockey after a major surgery this quickly...Well its insane forget how many times he has had shoulder separations...
Marner......lmfao.....He and his father have befuddled the world...Slow skater, no body no shot and he is a huge wage earner...
I like Matthews, he seems like a cool guy..
I like Marner for his audacity... And he is kinda fearless...lot to like..
These two guys need another market to play in... 55 years without even being in the Stanley CUP FINALS, is too much, heck, a really great coach couldnt do it,a great coach in the AHL doesn't seem to be able to do it.
Jesus, or a descendent might be the only one, to accomplish what now seems impossible.
Again before I get any stonings...Two of my five best friends in life, are gay... One died of aids..
Both were really really tough...
LOVED them both, but not that way lol....
But the fact remains, there is still a lot of prejudice in this area....
Hockey players are the nicest people in sports imo...
But that pic, is not a pic, that inspires teammates... I will tell you that...
They can do that on their own time. When you come to work, there's a dress code.
This picture is from the bubble in August 2020, not this season. There was no dress code in the bubble. If you guys are going to talk shit at least be accurate about it.How does Matthews' describe the dress code as "business casual" when they wearin that lol?
LOLUgh.
Who is the flake behind him?
Some serious Bob Weir shorts there.
i mean he wore a graphic t shirt and chinos: not that big of deal. Very common outfit among people on mid 20’s. Do you see what Russell Westbrook wears daily lol? It would give you guys a stroke. I know hockey culture is different but they’re is absolutely zero correlation between clothes and performance, it’s just nitpicking at things you don’t like about them now. Which is your call! But clothes aint something to lose sleep over.

Yep, likely the Raptors entrance.is it? the red walls give a convincing image of it being in Carolina, in the bubble they played at scotiabank right where are the red walls in scotiabank im assuming the raptors entrance maybe?
Are you the same one that was complaining about Mike Babcock every time the spoiled entitled children don’t like someone they get fired if so they’re going down a very slippery slope who the hell would Want to coach here if this keeps happeningIt's Keefe. Trust me.
This guy is driving the team into the ground. Dubas has to go if he's not willing to fire Keefe. Keefe is like Holl. The "Why on earth are they getting such a large leash" category. This isn't new, we saw this same ugly hockey during Keefe's first half season.
Get rid of Keefe, Marner goes back to owning the ice.
No.Are you the same one that was complaining about Mike Babcock every time the spoiled entitled children don’t like someone they get fired if so they’re going down a very slippery slope who the hell would Want to coach here if this keeps happening
I thought Joe Thornton was just an ass but go read his comments when he left this team is poison environment guess he was telling the truthNo.
And stop focusing on the individual player and look at the team. It's ugly hockey. The coaches stink.
