I think his greatest value to a team would be one that wants to make the playoffs after that it's just icing on cake and there are teams like that cause a little playoff revenue goes a long way.

Yeah and he's also fun to watch and puts up points so that probably puts some fans in the seats. Not an issue in Toronto but that has value in other places that have trouble selling tickets.

Do you have the Game by game breakdown ?

Games 1-7 ?

How do you get those stats ?
Dobber hockey tracks last game, last 3 and playoffs. I used playoffs, you're welcome to do a deeper dive. You can highlight ES, PP and I believe PK, EN but I can't say I've ever bothered to lookup the last two

The Leafs will not win with this immature kid. The difference between Rielly and him are extensive. When asked if he will change anything in his preparation for games he simply said "no". Rielly answered the question with each player has to look in the mirror. The only thing Marner sees is a reflection of a petulent player who doesn't realize how his salary demands have affected his team's ability to put a deep team on the ice.

I can’t believe he was defensive in his exit interview, I mean I wonder why that would be?

Too funny, just trade the kid, everything he does is wrong and we’re running him out of town anyways. Just ask for a trade and see what we can get, he’s now the place everyone puts their hatred for their lives.

When your paid the dough he is there are expectations on and off the ice .. So don't try top put this on the fans if that's what your doing .

The worst part is he doesn’t realize he doesn’t have the abilities to reciprocate what the organization invested in him.
The guy is literally the most unselfish, giving Leafs player off the ice. He does everything, for kids, those in need, I’ll never understand how people simply forget the empirical realities. Ask all the people he helps if they agree that he doesn’t give back. We can rip his play, the kid is a great ambassador for this team off the ice and by all accounts has no peer in what he gives back.

i pray to God MM is traded soon, serious- hes so so selfish. His attitude is garbage he makes way too much and he produces nothing when it counts. Seeing him "pretend" to go into the corner yesterday on a video on here made me furious.

He deserves criticism, what I’m finding now though is losers projecting their life frustrations onto him, it’s TOO much and I’m not going to pretend there isn’t a lynch mob mentality with some that is incredibly distasteful and says more about them. It’s borderline pathetic.

True enough, but I think when you are earning 11 million, you gotta be doing both the work off the ice and on the ice.

On ice fair game, but he’s shown he’s a good person off it and I keep that in mind with idea he is selfish and doesn’t care. Anyways it will be barrage at me for daring to defend, the audacity.

I just want even one of our superstars to grow balls

You can get away with one loser around. Us being led by two faker princesses is only going to be the same result each season. If one loser nets us a much better return than the other, do it.

Despite my vitriol aimed at Marner in this thread, I've maintained that I would prefer Marner develop some real maturity and I would love to see him succeed on the Leafs. I hope for Marner's sake that this season is the low point that finally makes him grow up.

I just didn’t take his presser as immature, it was a guy under siege being defensive. Perhaps he can handle it better, but also true no matter what he said he would be ripped. Anyways, 34 should thank his lucky stars this kid is shielding his performance, which was equally as underwhelming and disappointing.

I wouldn't hold back on Matthews if he deserves vitriol himself. It's true enough that Matthews didn't performance in the game, but he's not the one who actually lost the game. And to Matthews credit, he comes back every season better then he used to be, something that Marner can't attest to himself.

Galchenyuk and Dermott deserve criticism, but let's not fool ourselves, they earn 2 mill combined.
