Essentially PPG in back to back years, on a much weaker offence, plays physical and fights and will go into corners ?

Brady and millions in cap space are better than Marner that’s for damn sure……..

Last I looked Brady was a goal and 2 assists behind Marner in playoff scoring. These guys should donate the bonus money they get on July 1st to Sick Kid's Hospital.

Since we’re talking goal scoring btw, here’s a good one. Karlsson had as many goals in the playoffs last year as Marner does in his entire post season career.

I don’t think it’s the greatest trade either, but timeline wise it matches up.

If the Leafs don’t win in the next 3-4 years;

- Matthews bolts for UFA at the ripe old age of 31 or is traded if the first round exits continue.
- Willy will have a few years on a deal that takes him to his retirement window. Maybe he wants to win somewhere else?
- JT is likely in the distant past.
- Mo is in the same boat as Willy - paid in the shade and ready to hang them up.

This is the time to go for it before it becomes a full blown rebuild, and we’ll be staring down the barrel of one by 2030 latest anyways.

People say ‘the window is open’ and it is but it’s been open since 17-18 and this group hasn’t been able to hack it.

Some change and some urgency is needed with this team, just look at the ones left playing; you think the Leafs could beat any of them in a best of 7?

He ran it through the media with Babcock because Babcock didn't like his Mickey Mouse game. Yeah he loves the 10.9m far beyond Toronto. Marner didn't have a good series but the biggest factor for us losing was Tavares who had another had poor playoff and dragged down whoever he played with .
