After Babcock was fired by the Maple Leafs, a report surfaced that he asked a player to share his ranking of teammates from hardest- to least-hardest working and then shared that with the rest of the group.

Lol

Also apparently Boone Jenner denied the report, so trade his ass too while you're at it

Also also wouldn't it be amazing if this guy gets sued for hazing? Lol

It’s a bad look for Jenner but I’d imagine he was pressured by the organization to be a team guy & put out that statement. It was around the same time Friedman & the other mainstream guys started turning the tide of public opinion against the accusation.

He very well may not have been personally offended by it but I also can’t imagine he did what he did out of sake for some personal relationship with Babcock who he’s probably only known like that for a few months now.

Honestly it’s a pretty coward move by Jarmo & Davidson to have Jenner be the only one to put his name out there in defense of Babcock. It should have been those two since they’re the ones who actually made the hire.

Imagine if Biz is the guy to rid us of Torts !!!
I mean they had a direct line to Hayes last year and they said as much that's he's a douche, but I guess they didn't have the dirt like they did with Babcock.

STOP. HIRING. THE.SAME.COACHES.ALL.THE.TIME
Even when the flags are bright red, this league still finds a way to cycle through the same 40 coaches at a given time.

We know if the Flyers tanked, and had the worst record, they'd have ended up with the 3rd pick in the draft and still would have drafted Michkov.

Bedard is going to be very good, but shining in a prospects game (which plays to his strengths b/c lack of defensive structure) really doesn't tell me anything - he's supposed to dominate games like that.

We do not know that.

I haven’t listened to it in a while but Babcock was really the only guy that they took a flamethrower to on that podcast & that was pretty much done so by Commodore. It essentially became a bit on their podcast whenever he’d be on.

They’ve had players on who’ve called out coaches or have implied they don’t like them but none of them have carried a grudge to anywhere close to where Commodore has to Babcock. A lot of the other guys really aren’t as invested to carry it on whether it’s because it’s been so long &/or they’re still involved in hockey somehow.

Commodore is really the only hockey player who’s seemingly made it his absolute life mission to continually go after a coach he felt wronged him & others.

Guys like Friedman, Dreger, etc. should be embarrassed for carrying water for Columbus & the NHL in the early going of this whole ordeal by trying to downplay it.

Shit like that is why nothing really ever changes & the league keeps recycling these old coaches.
Was Friedman doing that? On his podcast he seemed open to the idea that this thing would have legs.
