They will have to work out loans individually, which still could include the Wolves. But both sides clearly have issues keeping working relationships, and this is considering that Don Waddell has worked with the Wolves before.

The NHL and NHLPA have a previously scheduled meeting on Friday morning, which now is expected to include the next steps in the Mike Babcock photo investigation.

Marty Walsh and NHLPA Assistant Executive Director Ron Hainsey met with Blue Jackets players in Columbus, a meeting described by several sources as “intense.” On Tuesday, when the story broke from Paul Bissonnette on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast, both the NHL and NHLPA initially were satisfied with the explanations from Boone Jenner and Johnny Gaudreau. However, it appears things changed for both later that night when information was received that some of the younger Blue Jackets were uncomfortable with what had occurred. That appears to be the major focus of the investigation.

I, for one, am shocked.

That information was given to the people it was for a reason. They knew those guys would sound the alarm & not try to run interference on it like guys like Friedman, Dreger, etc. have.

It's funny, when I meet new people that I'd like to know better, I always wait for them to volunteer pictures of their family. I've been going about it all wrong, I guess. How could I know better than someone who does this for a living? Weird.

If I was like 18-22 year old with no family I wouldn’t want to show my potential employer my camera roll on my phone either.

It could cover every age range really. Some 30 something married guy with three kids most recent photo could be from his mistress. He doesn't need his boss looking at that. Plus some of the players in the NHL are gay or bi, but none of them are publicly out. They certainly don't need their 60 year old coach seeing pictures of, or from their male romantic partners.

It’s certainly possible but I’d imagine percentage wise it’s probably greater with younger guys.

It seems like the younger guys were in the ones that voiced the complaints in this instance while the older veterans whether they liked it or not at least went with it.

But the NHL is mafia like. The veterans probably understand that better than the younger guys. Not saying it’s right but you probably learn over time it’s probably easier to just go along with things.
