He's going to make all the beats who claimed him and Michkov were in the same tier look like dummies in no time.

I'm pumped about MM but CB is on another level. I saw him live 4 times last year and he was absolutely insane.
The Flyers have their honor and dignity though for not tanking. We can’t forget that.

I wouldn't be even tiniest bit surprised to see Torts elevated to some kind of GM-like role (since they're obsessed with him and adding/removing anyone he wants, plus he sits up in the pressbox instead of actually coaching anyways) and then Babcock hired to be coach.

It's the worst thing imaginable, which means Jones would love it.

We know if the Flyers tanked, and had the worst record, they'd have ended up with the 3rd pick in the draft and still would have drafted Michkov.

Bedard is going to be very good, but shining in a prospects game (which plays to his strengths b/c lack of defensive structure) really doesn't tell me anything - he's supposed to dominate games like that.

Damn, what a monumental f---up by Jarmo? Do you think he'll lose his GM spot because of this?

I’d imagine it puts more pressure on him going into this season at least. Columbus is a pretty low pressure gig given their lack of real meaningful history. He’s kind of survived a lot to this point with them ultimately trending pretty average during his tenure there which might speak to the overall pressure/expectations to the job.
