Lyon saved 4.14 goals above expected last night according to Moneypuck. He’s been on fire as of late in their playoff push.

Of course he shit the bed against the Flyers.
I was told by "experts" here that Lyons sucked.

Of course, that knee injury probably had no impact, but it was a good excuse for Stolarz.

Same reason I'm not ready to write off Sandstrom, he's shown flashes, sometimes these guys just have to get healthy and get some PT after a series of dings.

Of course, the irony is he's now playing ahead of the $10M man and 1st rd pick Knight.

Are either of them injured? I was wondering that last night or is he legit putting both on the bench

I'm not sure it's a good idea to take a victory lap for a backup/third string goalie going on a short hot streak. This happens annually. Brian Boucher holds the shutout streak record in the modern era and suffice to say that didn't translate to anything more.

Lyon does suck, Bob is out and Knight is away from the team for personal reasons.

A five game sample size isn't a career, but good for him for pulling it together for at least a little bit.
