What an awful game... or maybe they're saving their energy for the big game tomorrow night? On a Saturday, when the Leafs always play?

Domi - does anyone have access to his corsi numbers the last few months? I feel he is just so weak from the defensive side of the game
This was always my concern when he was picked up, I was never a fan. Then he played hard, mucked it up, was hustling a bit more.

I'm not sure if playing on the first line inspired him and he lost that inspiration or what, but he is not the same player far too often than he is that player.

I can count on 1 hand the amount of games I feel our goaltending has TRULY had to steal.

This is one for the hand.

Notso much in the 1st period, I thought they were OK despite the shot totals.

But what the actual f*** was that 3rd period?

Stolarz STOLE that 3rd.

Robertson needs to pay for Stolarz dinner tonight, because if they had lost this game he would get the blame for causing that short handed goal.

Stolarz saved Robertson's ass tonight.

A lot of people complaining about the effort... outside PP1 I thought the effort was there. It was the decision making and execution that was not. They battled. But it did look gross lol.

Once of the interesting things, positive things if you will, is that I don't think Matthews scored on a goalie in the month of February and the team went 7-1. That's new. And speaks to the team having better depth and obviously goaltending.

Hard to imagine he stays at that pace... in all honesty I don't care if he scores another goal in the regular season (though he will), as long as he can score some meaningful games come playoff time.

This team had 2 days off and wow we looked exhausted lol like outside of of Marner and Matthews this team has played 4 games in 2 weeks!!!!! Why are we tired. Domi looks atrocious. Zero bite to any part of his game. He’s plsying a bottom 6 role trying to score… dude! Do you even know your role here?
It's game 59 what do you mean why are they tired?

There’s no doubt that Stolarz is our #1 goalie. He steals games while Woll allows bad goals.
Before his injury he was on a Vezina pace.

That said, Woll has been good too. They are a good battery.

I've said it before, if Stolarz somehow won the Cup and the Conn Smythe, he will be making north of $10M the next year.

Rangers got goalied, Leafs did not deserve to win this game. Stolarz was brilliant. Leafs lucked into some goals.

We literally did the bare minimum to win tonight, we couldn't have tried less. But, you gotta take these not so pretty ones once in a while to win the division.

Way to conserve the energy, boys!

This has pretty much been Max Domi's pattern his whole career. Great when brought in, team thinks they might have something, then for some reason he stops doing anything and the team has to dump him.

Good game and perfect start to this stretch drive to the playoffs.

Getting the goaltending that we do on a nightly basis is such a drastically different experience from years past. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as good about this teams goaltending as I do now. Maybe during the Cujo/Belfour years at best.

The way this team is playing is atrocious. Getting out worked, out shot, out possessed etc. we are lucky to have great goaltending but the team's play as a whole is extremely concerning to me. Glad for the 2 points though.
...or, even when they are not firing on all cylinders they can go 7-1 in February. These might just be the dog days for this team. They do need to ramp it back up.

I kept noticing Nylander for all wrong reasons… no body, all stick, soft back checking, taking lazy penalty… is he hurt or has Berube style hockey made him hit a wall… legit question 😬🧐
