If I was GM, this wouldn't be an issue for the Flyers. Hart would have been the first one out the door as the most valuable trade chip. And neither would drafting 7-10.
Do you really think Hart would ever be the most valuable trading chip, given the seemingly pervasive "goalies are voodoo" mindset?

I think so. His age, insane pedigree, and to this day above average body or work would be coveted considering he is still looking at an RFA contract after next season. It admittedly would be neck and neck with TK. Neck and neck with Neck. But that haul would be enormous. Think of the Oilers. The pressure to with with Lonner McDraisdavl is causing diamonds right now. A young and still relatively cheap great goalie? Multiple firsts

The Calder race look really weak this year. Pretty much only players no one talks about. Cates is actually 7th in rookie scoring.

It would be talked about more if it were an actual race and if Beniers were on a more important team

I think it is nice to think about, but realistically a trade like that in modern era is unprecedented. Closest is probably Stepan and Raanta to an unhinged Coyotes organization over 5 years ago. Next closest are probably Kuemper to COL and Georgiev to COL.

Hart is tiers above both though.

If I was GM, it'd get done. Me or Kimmo

My money would be on Provorov having the most value because NHL GMs are stupid and his reputation/stereotype is exactly their fetish.

No way. Saneheim is a legit top pairing guy locked up for 8 years making what 6.2 per? That is a steal. Surprised Carolina doesn't try to acquire him. Flyers can get a haul.

What is Ivan national reputation?

This league's so dumb. Stuff like this and Ghost never getting his true value even after carrying lifeless teams here and in Arizona.

They should try being bad and make it look like they work harder than everyone because the game is harder for them. Being bad but looking sweaty doing it, that's the right way to play. Being good is lazy.
