I’m coming across this on my twitter feed right around the time im listening to the new STG podcast & Therien is ranting about Florida suggesting Tkachuk is just putting up stats on a bad team but not actually playing well.

Tkachuk is a fascinating player to me. I dont understand how he does it. Other elite producers, I get it.

It is famously easy to produce on bad teams after all.

I think one of my favorite parts of these podcasts now is Therien trying to frame Fletcher as an analytic never played hockey before type of outsider & that’s why he sucked at his job.

Therien honestly makes me feel like deadhead right now somewhat defending Fletcher.

yah but how many useless hits along the boards away from the puck has he dealt ?

scoring goals/winning games isnt how championships are won..
oh wait..🤯🤣
Isn't that's what missing?

I'm not blaming McDavid, but when you have the best offensive player in the game, plus Draisaitl, RNH and Hyman, and you're not a dominant team, maybe offense is a tad overrated?

And they have Ekblad, Nurse (#7), Bouchard (#10) and Broberg (#8) on defense.

Nor can you blame the goalies per se with the emergence of Skinner (.908 Sv %),

With that kind of talent, shouldn't they be the best team in the NHL?
