The cost is astronomical. Especially if you play at a high level. Fees, travel, privates, and equipment. Small fortune.

Time for the government to withdraw support for HC, whether that be direct funding, support for Olympic teams, or how fees and donations are classified. From the Hockey Canada website:

No, I don't know how the government can actively punish HC; however, allowing this cesspool to represent Canada at international tournaments is tacit approval of their backroom cover-ups.

i do feel bad for their fans. Like it’s pretty hard to sell a product when it’s just a continuous side show on the business side which likely trickles into the hockey side.

He is a good kid. Met his billet family a few times at games and they spoke very highly of him as a person
