Was the game played yesterday, or will it be played the coming Friday?
If so, do you know which channel who will televise it?
Friday 11th, 6:30 pm local. Live coverage on TV2 Sport 2.

Gus bus is coming with every Swede on the Wild :D

Puck drops soon in the sold out Zucc All Star (11:30am CT)

5 Wild players on the NHL team, all Swedes this time (well Fiala lives there). Legend Peter Forsberg on the 4th line, we'll see if he lasts more than 5 mins.

Can't find any free stream, but I'll provide a little post-game report.

Few mins left of the game, NHL leads 4-2. Top line is Fiala-Ek-Zucc. Ek scored, assisted by his linemates. Beautiful play. Hey...Ek really needs to be 1C next season.

Final score 5-2. Ek, Zucc, MaJo, Brodin and Gus all staying in shape.

Has anyone heard any updates on the new alternate/RR jersey? I think a couple months ago it was confirmed that they'd be using the RR from last season as an alt this year, but they'd be making some slight changes to it. Anyone heard any news on that or when they'll reveal them? Maybe at the fair?

Yeah, nothing since then on when it would be released that I've seen.

Hey guys, complete waste of your time and I’m apologize for that, but can you give me your genuine thoughts on Rossi?

Full transparency, he’s potentially a part of a trade in a dynasty league, and want to know how much to value him (I know the normal stuff, just trying to see additional info from the Horse’s Mouth

He really struggled with the speed, size and strength of NHLers and the NHL game, we knew there'd be some growing pains but he looked lost for most of it
I have no confidence in Dean Evason to bring him along properly
I've given up hope on him being an all star caliber first line center, just hoping he can be a good two way 2C
Not sure what to think though, he wouldn't be the first player to struggle to adapt at first and then end up being a good player, but also wouldn't be the first high draft pick to bust completely

In terms of a fantasy league trade, I wouldn't value him all that highly because of the amount of risk and uncertainty, as well as the fact that he's not going to be given any ice time, Evason doesn't seem to be a big fan of his. He could end up being good down the line. No prospect is a sure thing by any means, and most aren't guaranteed ice time, but as an example, when you would watch Boldy coming up, he kinda had *it* when you saw him play. Rossi doesn't really have that and it makes you wonder how much he can put it together and make an impact in the NHL.

The one thing I will say in his defense is that he knows how to work hard, and he wants it about as much as anyone can want it. It's not going to be a lack of effort or work ethic that holds him back, and that's at least 50% of making it.

For me, it's was a confidence issue. And confidence can determine success.

From my viewings of Rossi, he's been the type of player who would made quick plays. Yes, he is undersized but he would compensate with decisive plays and has shown that at the AHL level. But for some reason, he looked almost scared to make a mistake at the NHL so when you take out the decisive nature, you're left with just an undersized player who isn't a speedster. Plus, there have been many quotes from either BG or Dean describing this problem in one form or the other, saying he needs a "f it" attitude.

But this is also why I'm still a believer in Rossi. The tools are still there and he has shown he can overcome his size issue at the pro level (albeit AHL). I can also attribute the lack of confidence to a whole year lost from COVID which can be mentally tasking. So in dynasty context, I think its more realistic to think his upside as a good 2nd liner but with the Wild's lack of center, might be elevated to see time with Kaprizov or Boldy, our two best offensive players which might pad his stats a bit.

I believe it was a "F you" attitude, which has similar, but different, connotations. They want him playing confidently, not carelessly.

I believe Rossi will still be an NHLer, I've just lowered my expectations from 1st line center. A true 1st line center needs to be a guy whose game isn't steered by something like confidence. He needs such an abundance of skill that a lack of confidence isn't enough to turn him invisible. That's not Rossi. If he's reliant on confidence for his offense, I think he could be a good 2nd line center, but he'll never be the 1st liner we were hoping for.

I think your final assessment is spot on. Upside of 2nd line, may see time with some truly gifted offensive players. I could also see him end up on a wing, or stuck in the bottom lines until he flames out of the NHL and goes to Europe. Rossi should be the throw-in sweetener on this dynasty league trade, and hopefully he is.

I agree with the first paragraph, but not with the bolded. Not having size, strength or speed means you are lacking in the tools department. He will have to have exceptional vision, skill, maybe shot, and skating(i.e. edges and creativity....not necessarily speed) to overcome his shortcomings if he is going to be an effective top 6 player.

Russo took a question on it in the podcast this week and said it would be announced in September, and would be a tweak on the green RR jerseys.

sombastate, i certainly hope rossi has a good year however i wouldn't bet on it. guessing vegas odds 40/60.
I ended up somehow turning Robertson and Lundestrom into Hintz, Guentzel, Rossi and a first.

So consider me an honorary Wild/Rossi fan this year while the flyers suck hard haha
