Worried what “significant raise” could be.

If it’s only 3 years, then $6M is the cutoff for if I think it’s bad or not. Under and I’m fine. Over and it’s time to grab the torches.

Brodin - Addison
Middleton - Faber
Merrill - Goligoski

Blueline depth was already an issue and a tricky one because we have about a half dozen prospects who are 1 or 2 years away.

The season of 23-24 will be executed with 2025-27 in mind. When you are contenders. Now, which players (in universe) will take the positions below: (be that via farm, draft, trade or UFA etc).

Kaprizov - F1 - Boldy
F2 - Eriksson Ek - Zuccarello
Foligno - Rossi - Hartman
Johansson - Gaudreau -
Öhgren - Dewar -

D1 - Spurgeon
Brodin - D2
D3
- Addison
Lambos

Gustavsson
Wallstedt
G3

F1 Draisaitl
F2 Ehlers

D1 Ekblad
D2 Chychrun
D3 Middleton

G3 Whoever

Yes, even in my deepest fantasy's the Wild somehow find a way to keep a guy like Middleton.

Jeez....looks like we'll still struggle with this guy, Hartman's stupidity continues, sending his team on the PK. Great way to honor his new contract, hope it's not a big mistake.

That was a pretty deliberate attempt at a knee on knee. There was definitely intent to injure and he should be suspended for that. Hartman has a history of being stupid too. It’s frustrating that the same player has all the opportunity in the world and he’s creating bad situations like this.

Imagine if Benn did that to Kaprizov…

We’d be told Kaprisov put himself in that position

Saad Yousuf was pretty outspoken about Foligno and Dumba in the Stars-Wild series last year. While I disagree with some of what he took umbrage with on a case-by-case basis, especially the Dumba hit on Pavelski, he does have a point. The NHL is way too focused on results, and not focused enough on the actions that can lead to those results.

What I'm saying is that hockey can be physical without being dirty, it needs to be enforced by the league, though. As an example, the NFL doesn't allow garbage like what Hartman did go unpunished, and I don't hear anyone saying the NFL isn't physical.

Looked like he attempted to kick his skate out. Pretty harmless thing to do -- and it was. Dallas can eat shit.

Yeah I can't seem to find any sympathy for the Jets or Stars these days. Both teams who want to dish it out (or fanbases that want their teams to dish it out), but can't take any of it without screaming bloody murder.

I’d add Colorado to that list.

Precisely. Get under their skin, good. That was nowhere near an attempt to injure, not at those speeds. I also hate that prick Yousuf for going on some sort of a holier than thou crusade vs. Wild players, as if we're somehow dirtier than Stars or Avs for instance. We're not. They get away with their shit, while we got absolutely murdered by the refs last series. Especially the treatment of Foligno was grounds for an actual appeal, but that'll never happen because hurr durr old boys club.

And i'm sure he was loudly pointing out the uncalled crosschecks by Suter during the playoffs, right?

Y’all would be singing such a different tune if it was Benn doing it to Kaprizov. Peak comedy

It has been those other teams doing it to our players in the past, that's why I don't actually care now that it's our players doing it back. That's the entire point. So I'm not sure who you think you're dunking on here.

Does that make it right? We’ve had a number of players suspended over the past few years. Would it just be okay for them to have the same dirty play done to them without consequence?

I’m not trying to dunk on anyone. I’m trying to judge a play without bias.

I never said it was right. I said I don't care.

This is the type of game these other teams want to play, so I have no problem with our guys playing it back.

We didn't get any bonuses for being the "clean team" when other teams were taking runs at our players, so what's the point in doing that? To have the moral high ground while our stars are on IR? Eh, doesn't do anything for me.

E: To clarify, I'm not happy that it's a part of the game on either side, I wish it wasn't. But unfortunately my wishes don't mean anything, so if a team that's played that way against us suddenly gets a taste of their own medicine, I'm not going to be able to find sympathy for them. I can still recognize that it's a bad play and bad thing for the game overall, but I'm going to save my sympathy for a more deserving victim.

This is a Wild fan forum. We're entitled to bias, as is every other team. We are allowed to view things from our perspective. And as far as I'm concerned, ends justify the means when it comes to competitive sport - or competitive anything.

Knee on knee at .763 mph ??? They were barely moving lol. Gimme a break
